The Blue Bell in Harrogate

Superb Steak & Shiraz evening with friends! The steaks were cooked to perfection, all of them as ordered, and we would return just for those!Would have given 5* but for very slow service and the table being such that there were two along long side with one at each end. Reminded me of having a meeting with Mr Putin.

Great menu. Very helpful staff. Ate here twice during our 6 day holiday. Super food and nice roomy dining area . Loved the draught Prosecco!!

Could have been better. I had the steak pie and it clearly had been cooked a day or two before I saw it. It was very dark in colour, pastry very hard and some of the meat inside had partially dried out. It had good meat in it and originally I think it was a good pie. Basically, it would have been obvious to the chef that this pie should not have been served. By saving the cost of the ingredients he/she has jeopardised the place's reputation. As I was in a group and they seemed to be enjoying their dishes I didn't spoil things by bringing it to the waitress' attention. The rest of my meal was fine, as was the waitress service. Although I have eaten there before without adverse experiences, I don't think I will go there again if I'm selecting where to eat.

We stayed here for three nights. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was food in the restaurant was not up to standard in our opinion.

The food is decent but there was hardly any staff present. So we waited ages for everything. They need to hire more people as one of the people cooking was also our server.

This is a brilliant pub with great food and 4 bedrooms so you can stay and be looked after brilliantly. It's a great place to break up a journey up the A1.

Stayed here recently for my husbands birthday. The relaxing atmosphere, delicious food, staff and accommodation is exceptional. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be booking to go back in the near future. Lovely pub.

The Blue Bell hosted a private function for us. Phil and team were great hosts. The buffet was outstanding. The menu, pork pie, quiche, sandwiches, cake scones might sound pretty standard, but there was nothing "standard" about this. Even the pork pies were homemade, warm crisp pastry with moist filling. Everything else to same level of perfection. Thank you.

Beautiful,deserves seven stars.Decor traditional with a modern twist,Superb.Comfy seating enhanced with the log burner and amazing views. Staff totally attentive.only gave you four stars because two ladies with the shooting party sat by the fire were smoking e-cigs and this was ignored by the staff.A huge disappointment. We will return but if I witnessed that again words would be said.Thank you for a wonderful Saturday luncheon.
