The Curry Counter in Harrogate

In my humble opinion, this is the one of the best curry establishments in the UK. It is no surprise to me that it is part of the Pakeeza brand - my family have used their products in our own curries since moving to the UK in the 60s.The lamb and beef masalas in particular are absolutely heavenly - the only curries I have ever purchased that rival my Grandma's authentic Punjabi curries! I would also recommend the bhajis and wide variety of pakoras they have.The staff are fantastic, I have been served by Abubakr many times and he is always very polite and friendly. I only moved to Harrogate a fortnight ago, but I cannot wait to try everything on the menu!

I went here a few months ago as a meat eater and I was impressed. I dropped in tonight and asked for their vegan options, chose two curries and they were excellent! Lots of flavour and spice, better than a few Indian meals out I’ve had recently. However, on my most recent visit I showed my loyalty voucher for a free dip and they didn’t believe it was real. They first insisted it is only valid online, I showed them where it said to use in store and he then insisted he read the entire email as though I had spent my day creating an entire fake email in order to get a dip worth a massive £1 for free. He then told me it said I could have a dip for free. *facepalm*. Why have loyalty vouchers if you think your customers are faking them?!

Lovely food but only 3 small pieces of chicken in the chicken tikka massala.

Easily my favourite place in Harrogate for a curry. Food is always fresh, tasty and at exceptional prices. This is restaurant quality grub with a wide range of dishes and starters on offer. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Dreadful food full of oil old dry chicken this place has turned from best in Harrogate to the worse.I got three curry’s for the price of two but it’s a mith as the portion size is so small you would need 4 curry’s to feed 2 people.This is the last time I will come here however at this rate you won’t last long......

literally writing a review after eating here 10 minutes later the food was amazing usually we go to Indian-asian restaurants and they use oil on every bit of food but they didn't use much compared. A bug shout-out to the staff who were amazing at service especially the the girl with blonde hair who really helped us feel welcome. This something I really look for in customer service and really appreciate the help from her. We came all the way from Aberdeen and would come here to eat again when I get the chance!

Polite staff, great food especially for vegans vegetarians. Clean and tidy. Affordable prices. Great place, every so often I take away from these guys. Recommend!!!!

Trust me Guys, Eat once & I promise you, that you get addicted to the food over here !! Such a delicious and hygienic food.I am from India and I really miss my home food.
