Back again for Christmas Party great venue we where here last in 2019 would have been in 2020 but!Very dog friendly cannot recommend The Empress Highly enough they really pull the stops out this year beautifully decorated upstairs with tasteful Christmas decorations and great window winter scenes.Thank You.

We called for Sunday Lunch Carvery 24/10/21. Their were 5 choices of meat and a wide range of vegetables & potatoes, HUGE yorkshire puddings. All tasted lovely and desserts chocolate fudge cake & sticky toffee pudding that our table had were delicious. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you 😊

Nice pub in a good position looking onto the Stray. Dogs are allowed. Food was nice and there was quite a buzz about the place. Servers were charming and helpful.

Nice clean locals pub, good location with hidden courtyard at the rear that’s a real sun trap. Dog friendly, but sometimes you get a yappy one…like right now. Sports tv, pool table, food all day with decent Sunday carvery. Certainly best in immediate area.

Nice tradition type pub. Good beer selection, good food, and good service. It has been renovated somewhat recently and looks much nicer than before.
