The Guy Fawkes Arms in Harrogate

Superb food, Sunday roast and desert. Great service, friendly atmosphere. Have recommended to friends and family and will be back.

Angie and I extended our tour of Yorkshire Dining spots today to Scotton, near Knaresborough. The Guy Fawkes Arms is in a beautiful English setting. The food is simply gorgeous: as a professional meat guzzler, Angie knows a Lamb Henry when she sees one! This one was a triumph... I knew when she refused to let me have any to taste! My gnocchi was far better than I've eaten in Italy at twice the price. Excellent and attentive staff, too, which made the whole experience highly enjoyable. I can only recommend this: eat here, try it and you will keep coming back. We will! PS try the lemon posset!

Absolutely lovely. Very impromptu meal this evening. Waitress informed us on arrival of early bird menu still available until 7pm, seemed a popular restaurant/pub, appealing menu and so decided to eat. Attentive staff, very nice, well presented meal. Could not fault.

A little qauint cosy pub,friendly service, very busy it is advisable to book a table for eating. I can't comment on food as we called in for a beverage. Pub within 10 mins walk from the Motorhome and caravan site

First visit to this pub but will be back when we next visit the area. Cannot remember when we have enjoyed eating out so much - looked after by fabulous staff, the food was superb as was the beer and wine, the whole atmosphere of the place was warm and welcoming - thank you all of you -from Dave and Jackie Morris who visited with our dear friend Laurie on Friday 4th February 2022 - sorry we didn't take any photos of us too busy eating!

We booked for lunch on Saturday to see 2 friends we haven't seen for 3 years. Basically, it was excellent. Lovely ambience, friendly, genuine service and fabulous food. I had the sea bream with chorizo which was mind-blowingly good. Definitely a favourite and qe will be back!

Stopped here for lunch after seeing lots of positive reviews and we definitely weren't disappointed, the food was excellent! Had the steak pie followed by the chocolate brownie and both were delicious, and the staff were very friendly and attentive also. Would definitely visit again

Super friendly staff and excellent Sunday roast. We were visiting the area on holiday and glad we managed to dine here one night. Only downside is the parking is limited and quite tight but don't let it put you off trying it if you've never been.
