Exactly why I’m not bothering to go out to eat much in 2022. Miserable staff, mediocre quality food, and cannot get a simple food order correct even when I asked/confirmed twice that there would be no mayonnaise!! I laugh when I hear landlords whinging about going out of business.

Exceptionally friendly staff (to the pont where I voluntarily missed my train twice!) Really nice selection of cask ales on, but I would have liked to see a stout

Lovely clean, warm pub. One of the warmest we have been in, in Knaresborough, right next to train station. Bar staff really friendly.

Nice atmosphere, beer selection, and good quality food. The food however did take a long time to arrive and the size of the pie for the "pie of the day" was underwhelming.

The falafel sides were tasty which came with a nice cold sauce dip. The vegetable curry was alright and lacked a bit of salt. However, presentation was wonderful. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Would have given five stars but the food did take a while to come out.Everything else about the inn was Great. Wonderful atmosphere and very convenient that it's right next to the train station!

I stayed here for two nights. Staff were very nice and attentive for the rooms, breakfast and drinks at the pub. Breakfast was a good bonus to staying there but does take a while so make sure you have about an hour from sit down to finish. The room was comfortable and very clean. There were several spiders in my shower and I found one on my pillow 😵 but it’s autumn and they’re rampant everywhere at the moment. Definitely a great place to stay when in Knaresborough.

Bar staff (lady that served us on Saturday 18th afternoon) would do well to keep it in mind that some people can be particularly sensitive to rudeness with it making them feel anxious and uncomfortable. The lady that served my girlfriend today made her feel very unwelcome on a day she was already feeling quite anxious. We both work in customer service and understand it can be hard to maintain the smile on your face all day but we also understand that being rude for no reason at all isn’t needed. We never expect bar staff to be overly friendly but a decent hello and thank you is always appreciated…

Visited with 5 friends Most orderd the chicken or steak pie - portion of the pie was very small & came "swimming"in gravy which made no allowance for individual likes re amount - would of been better had it been served in individual separate jugs.
