Called in here before catching the train from Harrogate to Sheffield and wish we had visited sooner. After a few bad pints in Harrogate I think we were both relieved to find the Old Bell! The selection of ales was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were so friendly & welcoming. We wished we could have stayed for the kitchen opening at 5 but we had to leave. Will definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return on our next trip to Harrogate!

Do not miss this place! From all the puns visited here we were welcomed like nowhere else! Amazing friendly staff, great service, dogs allowed great choice of drinks. Recommended!

Great bar, didn't have any food but the beer was good. Huge selection to choose from. Definitely go back and would eat there as it looked delicious 😋. Great location and dog friendly, staff very helpful.

Warm & cosy environment, friendly welcome and great service for an early evening meal. Food was excellent quality, served piping hot and in a good timely manner. Salmon risotto with feta cheese was very tasty but too much rice for our 2 elderly relatives. Burger was good and substantial and tandoori chicken curry with naan bread was hearty & filling too. Lovely atmosphere & would definitely recommend a visit.

Saw this place from our hotel window and decided to visit. Nice friendly pub with a good selection of beers. We found the drinks better priced than a couple of the micro pubs further up the road. Good food menu and a daily specials board. Table service and staff friendly and helpful. Visited both nights of our stay and would definitely visit again when in Harrogate.

The food is most definitely home made/cooked. Everything was fresh and not just kept warm. Carrots tasted carroty, you know what I mean. I had steak and ale pie with chips. Came with carrots, parsnips, broccoli, gravy and pea shoots. There is a great range of real ales and strong bottled beer
