We had a nice meal here with friends. While definitely more of a restaurant than a pub, it’s quite quiet and cosy. We arrived a bit late but they kept the kitchen open for us. Nice touch. The food came quickly. They have a rotisserie for chickens and I had the chicken tikka masala which was really tasty and tender. My wife had half a chicken which was dry unfortunately.I’d go back though as it’s a kid friendly, family gastro pub and worth a visit.

We came as a pit stop between a journey from Blackburn to Whitby, we brought my nan home for Christmas, we had a lovely lunch of a starter and a main (wasn't that Hungry). We had soup and camembert which was lovely and sticky toffee pudding, with lots of custard.... Very generous portions, staff were great, there was a waiter who was attentive and interacted with us, specially when my son asked what the pudding recipes was... "Love" was his response haha .... great service guys ☺️

I called in here by chance to pass some time as I had about an hour to wait before picking my son up in the area. I had a prawn cocktail and a latte, both were delicious! Staff were welcoming and professional and it was very peaceful and clean. I will definitely return with my family in the near future.

We had a family lunch here yesterday, with 7 adults and six children ranging from 7 down to 2. Amber looked after us with cheerful efficiency and wasn't remotely put off by various children dancing around her! Well organised, and we had one large table well away from other customers, which they no doubt appreciated! Many thanks

Visited today with friends. Been a few times before and had great experiences. Today was a mistake and will not be returning. Was welcomed by a swift ‘grab a menu and find a table/order at the bar’ upon entering. The menu was 1/4 to what it should be according to the online menu - no warning.Waitresses did not know what came with what meals. Had to remind them twice about items that had been missed off our order. Food was bland and overpriced. Can eat multiple places in Harrogate for the same price and have much more of a pleasant experience.Really disappointing visit, as stated above, previous visits have been wonderful.

Very enjoyable experience. Waitress was friendly, fast and efficient. Food was great and the pace was good. Only minor negative was the desert custard was piping hot and in a small handleless jug which was too hot to pickup.

We turned up on the off chance of getting a table on a Sunday and the manager couldn't of been more helpful in finding us a table for dinner when we hadn't actually booked. The meal was amazing and so were the staff. Thanks

Shame. Used to go often. But food seems to be returned to the kitchen more often than not as it's cold, completely wrong dish, undercooked. Side orders not arrived. Even charged for items we never ordered. Was a great place hopefully will get back to that again

We arrived having never visited before. Greeting from bar staff ok we were told to sit anywhere and although not particularly busy were told there was an half hour wait for food. We sat at a table that had been cleared but not wiped and had to ask for it to be cleaned. We ordered soup and prawn cocktail we got spoons for soup but no cutlery for prawns so I had to go to the bar to ask for it. Soup was just warm, prawn cocktail was ok. We then had two roast beefs and one roast pork. Beef was inedible to chewy and we couldn’t swallow it. Pork had been better. We still felt very hungry after leaving and called for food on way back to Cumbria.

First time visiting and decided to eat. The food was outstanding and the staff were so welcoming and polite. My dog was made to feel very welcome and had biscuits and water brought to her. Will definitely return 😀🐾❤
