My wife & I along with my in-laws visited the Ship Inn on Saturday afternoon (25th of September 2021). We were greeted by very friendly bar staff. We were shown to our table, given menus & given time to decide what we wanted, ( I hate being pressured into making a rushed meal choice). The food was “off the scale” delicious. I had the best fish pie ever. The rest of the meals were also delicious, so everyone said, & the proof of that were the clean plates.

Had Sunday lunch today and it was fantastic. I had steak and kidney pie and chips, its the best one I have ever had. My wife had the roast beef dinner it was amazing I would highly recommend it. Graham

We had great weather when we walked from Boroughbridge here, and took a seat outside.Nipped in to announce our presence, and the friendly barmaid came out to take our order. She also gave us a little history of the building, saying it dated from the 13th century, and making it clear she hasn't been there since it opened.I only had a brief look inside, but the woodwork is very characteristic.Prices are comparative with other pubs in the area, but this was our favourite. It was a friendly pub, with excellent service.

The service was very good and the food was very good, it's a lovely oldy type of pub so watch out if you are tall like myself. My cappuccino was not hot enough for me otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Excellent sunday lunch at the Ship Inn, amazing Yorkshire puddings with delicious gravy. Tasty desserts to top it off also. Friendly service, highly recommended.

A long time fan of this lovely little pub but figured it's time I left them a review. Always a welcoming, classic pub environment. Lovely fresh food at a fair price and lastly, great service. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Decent traditional pub in a pretty village, the food was nice without being outstanding but perfect for a relaxed Sunday lunch.

Friendly staff and quaint atmosphere. The food is nicely presented, but I feel the quality just isn't quite there, my haddock was full of bones. If you visit, make sure you have a desert as they have a great selection.Overall, it's not a bad place, but I wouldn't rush back simply because the chairs are the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on, the padding has completely gone in them, so it's basically like sitting on a piece of wood.

Great pub and a great place to eat. Lots of history and character. I’ve eaten hear a few times and the food has always been great. I really like the corn beef hash.
