Great place to pop over to after a walk around Swinsty Reservoir. Cosy pub with warm fires, good food (loved the homemade beef chilli) and a decent selection of drinks. The staff were really nice and the pub is dog friendly.

A great place to visit and have a meal. My favorite is the steak pie, made as it should be and cut into slices. PROPER PIE.

Our walking group lunched here on Thursday 3rd Feb 2022, there were 17 of us, we pre- ordered. Our food was excellent and the staff here are friendly and accommodating as well as the food being very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Neal & Fiona for a lovely lunch.

The actual place is beautiful, old worldly but the staff on our last visit left a lot to be desired. I asked for my drink replacing as it wasn't up to scratch and the staff member was very curt and unhelpful. No please, sorry or thankyou!!! Will give it a miss for a while now.

First time here after searching for a new walk (Swinsty Reservoir) and needing a pit stop! I was very impressed, got sat straight away but would recommend booking in advance as most tables reserved! Dog friendly which is important for me and my Cockerpoo! Lovely hot, fresh food! Will defo go again, Thank you :) .

Great family run country pub, very cosy place, had open fire burning, beautiful. Enjoyed an evening meal, pudding was to die for . Exceptionally clean and an abundance of character. Dog friendly too. Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again.

Nice big spacious pub, with multiple rooms & a friendly atmosphere. Rustic interior with a cosy fireside feeling at one end & a larger dining area at the other, where large windows give balcony like views up the valley. A varied menu is available at reasonable prices. I like The Sun👍🙂

Enormous, tasty carvery lunch, friendly staff and a good spot with a gorgeous view to collect our new kitten!
