Return visit from many years ago when I used to live in Harrogate. Just how I remembered it. Lovely, quaint, traditional country pub with loads of character. Stone floors, wood and nooks and crannies. A very warm welcome and great food. Really dog friendly, more than happy to accept my 2 Great Danes. Contacted them online initially and was impressed with their prompt and helpful response. Would highly recommend 👌

Been visiting for a few days and this place is a real gem . Beautiful food lovely and homemade super atmosphere , love the fact that dogs are welcome, and lots of people where there with their dog. Which was just lovely .

The food was top notch. Ploughman's was the best I have ever had. Thick slabs of ham and huge wedges of cheese.Lasagna was heaven. Thick, dense, rich. Served with proper homemade chips.This will be our new lunch spot.Seriously check the photos!

Booked a table for 8 the day before which grew to 10 overnight and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. On arrival the staff were so welcoming and friendly they made the whole party feel at ease.There was a good choice of drinks and food available which was swiftly served for a large party. The servings were very generous and the quality of the food was excellent. So if you want friendly service and excellent food this is the place to go.

Just had the best ever Sunday lunch at the Traveller's Rest, perfectly cooked,fresh and super quality. All staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, atmosphere was so relaxing, even our little dog fell asleep. Well done.

Fantastic steak pie, chips & gravy... Meat was tender and falls apart also homemade chips are nicely cooked and the gravey was tasty. My daughter had lasagna & chips which she says was delicious. All portions were decent in size too. Could do with turning the heating up a little more as it was a bit cold.

Absolutely fantastic little gem! Rustic old pub, with a real log fire. Staff couldn't be better, dogs are welcome. Food is top notch, lots of veg and salad. Nice to see a good variety for a change, i had peas, green beans, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli with my steak pie. Plenty of tender meat. Will be back soon
