The Ugly Duckling in Harrogate

This is an amazing little find. Really lovely staff and food and you can take your fur legged friends too

Called in here for a cuppa and toilet break after walking from our campsite through Nidd Gorge, lovely little tea room,the staff were very friendly so we had a wonder around the local shops then went back in and had jam & cream scones and another cuppa as they looked so delicious and they certainly were,the menu looked great too, we'll be back when we're next in the area..

Lovely bustling tearoom. Well behaved dogs welcome. The service could have been slightly better, there was a mix up with our order but soon corrected. Seating outside next to the river. The coffee was nice. The bacon on the full cooked breakfast was of good quality, unfortunately the sausage wasn't up to the same standard. I definitely recommend, it's in a lovely setting.

Have left positive reviews for this establishment before, however after visiting today I felt I had to write in defence of the management whilst witnessing a complete & utter idiot.The service was polite & friendly as usual & the food & drink really nice again. This pet friendly tea room even provided our little dig with a couple of dog biscuits.The man sat in the corner with his wife (who never took her coat off this mild day) and son, called over a young waitress and complained his sandwich “was overfilled” and his quiche was “too cheesy” and sent them back and wanted some money back. What a complete & utter idiot. Must say the staff must have patience of a saint. Had it been me he wouldn’t have touched the ground & landed in the Nidd at the rear

What a lovely place. Food was amazing, very tasty. Service fab and my dog was welcomed with treats. Would definitely recommend a visit. Car park right next door too 👍

It is so refreshing to find an eatery that offers many gluten free options! I ordered afternoon tea and I was so pleasantly surprised that they offered not only gluten free sandwiches but gluten free cakes and scones! Afternoon tea was delicious and they are also dog friendly. Staff were very attentive and friendly, perfect little find!

Lovely tea room. We were very impressed with the food and service here. We chose this cafe for a family meet-up but ended up over an hour late for our reservation due to car problems. Despite us arriving within half an hour of closing time, the staff gave us a warm welcome and did not rush us at all.Quality food and drink and even dog biscuits for our one-eyed Shih Tzu.Highly recommended.

Fantastic little tea room. Our afternoon tea was top quality and very reasonably priced. An excellent location too, very close to Mother Shipton's cave, car parking, the river and lovely walks

Nice scones and coffee. Friendly owners and dog friendly. Will be returning to try the food.Have revisited and have to say the food is good. Probably the best egg sandwich in Yorkshire
