We stayed in Cattal while visiting York for a few days. Found this pub right next to Cattal railway station. Lovely pub , lovely people and wonderful food . A little gem and well worth a visit

We've enjoyed 2 meals here recently and can honestly say I haven't had a steak (fillet) as good on years. Everything bit of food was perfect from starter to dessert. My husband had lamb and and feels exactly. The waiterd and waiter were spot on. A very pleasant landlady. We have booked for a Christmas meal in December.

What a wonderful place!We booked a table for Sunday lunch for 17 people and the service and food was perfect. All our mains arrived together and everyone loved their food. Communication during booking and service whilst dining was also great.Many thanks to all the team for looking after us so well.

Great dining experience, booked a table for 6, spacious table not on top of anyone else.Service was friendly and efficient and the food was absolutely excellent… great menu choice and all of us were delighted with our food.Will be going again very shortly looking to book again in the next couple of weeks.
