Nice pub near the town bridge, with outside seating and views over the river. Good choice of drinks including tea and coffee and a good food menu including an outside wood fired oven where you can order pizza

We met for a birthday meal and the food was good. I would have given 5 stars but there were some people waiting alot of time for their food.

Dropped in this afternoon and grabbed a table for 6....3 adults and 3 kids....the food was delicious. The kids ate every last bit and my steak and ale pie was one of the best I have ever had.....loads of steak. Good service, good food and good atmosphere. What more can you ask for.

Went for a quiet beer in this nice pub with my two mates - it was full of dogs that were barking and yelping, ruined our stay and the bar staff did nothing to tell the dog owners to quieten their animals down or eject them. I am a dog lover, but to be honest I cold not wait to leave! Very annoying and inconsiderate!

Warm, friendly and freshly renovated. Simple food, with some vegetarian options, though could do with more. Range of outdoor spaces from teepee to river-view picnic tables

Staff were welcoming, beer was good the food was average pub quality but portions are generous. Location is great by the river, and a great theme on the pubs name and link to mother shiptons cave and her predictions.

Pub full of character on the Riverside in Knaresborough. We went on a Sunday afternoon (Halloween) for drinks. It was suitably decorated. It was quite quiet. We just had drinks and chips near the bar but they did seem to have a lovely dining area overlooking the river as well as outside seating and an upstairs teepee. It was a bit cold to sit outside but might give it a go when it's warmer!

Had lunch here a couple of days ago. A lovely interesting location with a nicely appointed, fresh and bright dining area. My wife and I were made to feel very welcome and the food was excellent. I can certainly recommend the bacon brie and cranberry melted baguette. Good quality no nonsense food, served with a smile. What more could you ask for?
