West Park in Harrogate

Really enjoyed our stay , gorgeous decor. Very comfy rooms and very clean. Breakfast tasty . Staff very nice especially Meg on reception, lovely friendly on the telephone and in person 👍

A group of ladies our for an evening meal and drinks. This was always a firm favourite, but we were very disappointed this evening in the service and atmosphere. I had asked for a table indoors and they put us in the extended outdoor area which now has a roof on and they class it as indoors. Would have been fine when we weren’t allowed to eat indoors, but on a very wet and miserable night, it was cold and draughty. They had no idea what a Calypso coffee was and it had to be sent back, waiting staff kept offering food which was not for our table. We were offered a bottle of wine, which was for the table next to us - jokingly we said we weren’t paying for it, but it appeared on our bill at the end of the evening. This is the 2nd time they have added an extra bottle to our bill, so you have to check carefully. The staff were not friendly and helpful like we would normally expect? What’s going on? With your reputation, I expect better!

We read that this was a great place to visit, sorry but it was awful we booked for 3.15. on Sunday for 6 people.At 2.30 they phoned to say that there was no longer any beef or pork we arrive and got our table, then to discover that two of the starters were not available very embarrassing to say the least so when we decided to order what was.left the food really was not up to scratch apologies where excepted but for a place of this calibra you would expect more, sorry but we will not be coming back again thanks.

We had a brilliant stay here on Friday 11th February 2022. The staff were warm and welcoming, the room was beautiful and very clean. We had a balcony (room 107) which had a seating area. There weren’t any views, but on a summer’s night it would have been a great place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The bathroom is spacious with a large bath and a rainfall shower. There was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room and toiletries and WiFi. There are other items you can ask for which are all detailed in the comprehensive guide in the room. Breakfast was delicious, with a continental and hot breakfast available.The hotel is in a brilliant location, with a park opposite, paid parking on the street, or a cheaper multi storey round the back at (at the time we stayed) £6.20 for 24 hours, which for central Harrogate is a good price.We also ate in the restaurant which was delicious. The staff were attentive, filling up our wine glasses if they spotted they were getting low! All 3 courses we had were fantastic.Hats off to The West Park Hotel!

We went on a Sunday and it was a lovely menu,something for everyone if you don't fancy a roast. Dog friendly and the dogs even get their own bed to relax on.

Lovely early evening meal with the family. Food was delicious, great care taken to ensure safety regarding covid. Thank you.

We had a lovely Sunday roast dinner here. The service was really good and the place itself is quite nice. Lots of shiny furniture which is nice but maybe looking a little dated.The drinks and food came quickly and was presented nice. As always, never enough gravy (which was also very thin).The veg was mostly served separately and some of it was very crunchy, which some people like, some don’t. I don’t mind it.The beef was cooked well, pink but well rested so no blood leaking out. The Yorkshire puddings were great (which you’d hope for!). My wife had the mushroom wellington, which was delicious and really well seasoned.We shared a panna cotta to end the meal, which was creamy and tasty.I’d go again for sure

Lunch Time Visit.Tastefully decorated welcoming and friendly staff from start to finish service cannot fault. Great menu lots off choice liked the fact you can mix the lite bite with full menuFood delicious so enjoyed my poached eggs and salmon from lite bite menu plenty on my plate but all three courses were scrumptious.A must visit I would book so as not to be dissapointed

Extremely rude wait staff. We felt rushed and not welcome. Was told we had to leave 1 hour and a half after our booking when we were having drinks with some of your hotel guests, as they needed the table, even though there was at least 11 other tables available.Staff kept coming to see if we were leaving throughout the meal, and I felt extremely unwelcome.Food was decidedly average for the price, would not recommend. Has a mandatory service charge aas well.

We stayed for 2 nights at the West Park with our best friends as we were getting married. The rooms, food and service were brilliant. The staff were all lovely and went out of their way to make it extra special for our wedding day. We had a fabulous post wedding lunch in the restaurant too. Thanks to all at the West Park.
