Cross Keys in Kingston upon Hull

Went today Thursday for some lunch with the parents, who loved the authentic home cooked food of this pub. Walked in, it was freezing cold no heating on so sat in coats. The menu is now 2 pieces of photo copied paper, no great choice menu of the past. We where told no Fih or meat pies available?... Hang on Cross keys was renowned for its homecooked fish n chips over the past 10 years. So we went for mixed grill only to be told no mixed grill!.. Only Gammon.. Sorry to say we drank up and left. Its a very sad state of affairs what this pub has now turned into. A great local turned to ruin

Food was inedible, luke warm meat and burnt roast potatoes.....everything was bland and the mash potato was definitely powdered. I honestly don't know how they dare serve it!

Food was lovely, well worth the price.

Eaten here now on a few occasions. The food here is excellent. The steak pie is to die for and had the fish yesterday. Best piece of fish I have had in ages. Not greasey one bit. Hate fish when all wet and sloppy. Not here it was cooked perfect. Def be back again.

Food was lovely ..... my only complaint it was very cold..... there was no heating on ..and we had two elderly people with us

Staff got orders wrong for mains and desserts,no service with a smile we felt like we had put the staff out ,and food was burnt😒we normally always come here for occasions but put us off for future

Really enjoyed the food all 10 of us, great fish and chips and mushy peas, and every who had the meat pie said it was superb, would have been 5 stars but it was a bit cold inside no heating on

Didn't stay but had a lovely meal meat cooked to perfection plenty of it excellent meal really friendly staff would highly recommend this hotel

I was looking for somewhere to stay whilst I was in Hull for 4days working on Diysos. When I phoned Kris's and explained this he told me I could have it for free. The room was clean,tidy ,with suitable storage and a TV. The pub and it's regulars were very hospitable and I would recommend this establishment to everyone.
