George Hotel in Kingston upon Hull

Fantastic hotel, very warm and friendly staff. Rooms are lovely and the food is great. Will be staying again and would highly recommend.

April 20-23, 2022 - I had a great stay at the Kingston Theatre Hotel. The room was comfortable and had a nice view. The hotel is in a quiet area of town; I had no problems sleeping and no noisy neighbors. (I was here for a work trip to the university, but if you are a tourist it is close to all the old town touristy stuff.) The staff were very helpful - they called me cabs, sent up room service, gave me advice on navigating Hull. (As a note to other Americans: they may ask you each evening what time you plan on getting breakfast the next morning. Just roll with it, they are trying to make sure you get fed and that their kitchen staff aren't overwhelmed.)TL;DR: This was a really good hotel stay (quiet, safe, comfortable, and helpful) and I would recommend KTH to anyone

This hotel is a delight. It is so clean with friendly staff and the rooms used for the weddings are always perfectly decorated as to the bride/grooms wishes. It is always a pleasure to visit. The meals are also good.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience! 2 minutes walk to work at the theatre, 3 optional meals a day, my room was in the Victorian Suits building - very big and comfortable room facing the backyard. The only thing bothered me was the fact that I could constantly hear the neighbors in the next room and slept quite badly. I could hear the man's heavy, loud breathing all night and waking up alarmed from the guy's caugh/sneeze, and the wind made the garden string lights bang over and over again. I asked for earplugs at the reception, and they had them :)

We booked a party in the snobs function room. The staff were all amazing they went above and beyond what we were expecting. We had a complimentary room which was fresh and clean. We had a great nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. I will definitely be booking again.

I had 3 course Christmas lunch here. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and professional. There is a spacious reception area where we stayed after our food and enjoyed some drinks. I haven't stayed here so can not comment on the rooms or check in experience.

The hotel is very clean, comfortable and welcoming. During a recent weekend stay, which included a memorial gathering for a much loved family member, we found all the staff to be very efficient, kind and thoughtful. They were so helpful in the run up to the weekend and made our stay, that of our guests and the event itself run so smoothly. They couldn't have done more, which helped to make a difficult time so much easier for us. Many thanks to you all.

Visited today for afternoon tea with my granddaughter. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table, which was beautifully presented and decorated with rose petals. We were served by Sam who brought us our pot of tea and food, both of which were presented to a very high standard. Everything from the selection of finger sandwiches to the mouth-watering assortment of cakes and pastries was delicious. The pot of tea was replenished as required. All of this meant that we had a very enjoyable afternoon. This was our first visit and will not be our last. Many thanks to all concerned.
