Great quality food, chicken curry and mini spring rolls are wonderful. Best to come in and order it's a little cheaper than over phone, they except card in shop or over phone as well

Golden star has really taken a step up lately. The last 2 takeaways we have delivered have clearly been fresh cooked food, not greasy and bags of taste. I really hope this continues and it doesn’t slip back in to its old ways.

Delicious house special curry absolutely perfect, great quality food, the perfect heat, substance etc, spot on 10/ 10Loved it, my fav takeaway, the staff always friendly and give a real personal feel ( Hanna) kitchen team spot on, thank you, gorgeous tea 😊😋29th August, no idea who was cooking the curry that night but the best we have had for a long time, absolutely spot on. It can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes to runny, sometimes like mushrooms are older than me, sometimes just like hot water. Always nice, but Oh my god if I knew what chef was on that night I would always pick when they was in, hot but not stupid hot, thick and creamy, delicious. The staff are always amazing especially Hannah and Kelsey , friendly helpful, know who you are, even during covid spot on, my orders have always been right, a huge thank you and leave that chef on all the time 29th August x

Paid over the phone and collected. Delivery driver butted in the conversation between me and the cashier and swore at me. I have used golden star for years if we ever had any problems they where sorted quickly since the new owner has taken over quality has gone down aswell as service won’t be returning.Edit (after seeming your reply to my mum about I only gave my surname when I ordered I think you will find I gave my full name also how could the girl phone me if she didn’t know who the order was for? feel free to hand it to the police I’m sure they will be interested)Your staff even complain about you I was in to collect the other week and they was openly talking about how you get in the way and you make their job hard work by trying to help look like you have a very happy work force

Quite possibly the worst meal ive ever had the noodles not cooked still raw no flavour just terrible really bad. Not happy

Food not as good a quality as it used to be and a member of staff (DELIVERY DRIVER) very rude swore at hubby, he gave as much back conversation had nothing to do with him, it was just a mix up on name order.

They forgot my drinks, chips were not properly cooked and flavourless despite being 'salt and pepper' chips, salt and pepper chicken hard and barely any chicken. Only thing we ordered that was decent was the prawn crackers.

Been getting our Chinese here for over 40 years! Great food. Cannot recommend them enough - best ever 🌟

Always the quickest place for delivery so piping hot food every time. Opted for the special foo young, boiled rice and curry sauce to share as trying to lose a little weight lol.A nice big slab of omelette with plenty of filling, I personally don't like prawns so a I picked them out and gave them to the wife who loves them.The curry sauce had just the right amount of spice and consistency. The only reason for not 5 stars is the rice was a tiny bit stuck together probably on account of it been a delivery although when separated with a fork was fine.All fed for less than £12 delivered, superb.
