Great Wall in Kingston upon Hull

Absolutely disgusting.. Ordered crispy chili beef and it was completely inedible! The clue is in the title crispy.. it arrived and the beef was like eating a sloppy chewy mess. There was nothing crispy about it!! The actual sauce swamped on it tasted of nothing but vinegar. The carrots were raw, solid raw. A complete waste of money!!! I wouldn't even award it one star based on that dish.We also ordered crispy duck. A portion that would make a mouse still hungry. It was cold and again in edible.. it reminded me cardboard.All I can say Great Wall is that it's your loss as I will never, ever give you money again!!!Sometimes it can be ok, others it's not worth the money and it's just not worth taking the risk.Give it a go once maybe.. but if it's an off day for great wall then you might as well miss the eating stage and go straight to the bin. Just to add.. how can you even get rice wrong???

New years Eve was very busy... Good food but slow coming and slightly expensive.. Ps cash only

This used to be a real good takeaway prior to tonights meal the last 2 meals have been below par Tonight it arrived lukewarm (only live 1 minute away )and the chips were refried .The texture was just like crisps than chips No more for me

Not a bad little chinese at all.we are lucky to live so close. Would have been 5 stars but had one bad dish where the beef diddnt seam too good. Wouldnt let this put you off though everything else has bin spot on.

Not nice food .no flavour .everything quickly cooked .fried rice not fried rice taste ov nothing .wouldnt buy any dish from them again poor food doesnt taste ov chinese at all

Actually amazed this place has got as many poor reviews as it has. Over the past couple of years must've used Great Wall some 3/4 times and never has it disappointed. Value, generous portions, everything ordered full of flavour. Little falling off to be had.

Been ordering from here for around 10 years, it was always great hence our repeat orders, just recently the standards have slipped dramatically. Tonight was the last straw, beef and garlic smelled and tasted only of fish. Crispy chicken strips was just unidentifiable random meats, called to complain. They send a replacement of the mains out 45 minutes later at which point the starters and sides are ruined with no apology, refund or replacement of food that's gone cold. In that time I had thrown up twice. We didn't eat the replacement, not much point when sat here with stomach cramps and pouring with sweat, I only had one mouthful of the original and all I can taste and smell is rotten fish. Please don't waste your money or health on this place.
