Lazaat Restaurant & Bar in Kingston upon Hull

Stayed before our Grandsons wedding and had a lovely relaxing stay. Beautiful bedroom and great shower. Restaurant food was freshly cooked and big portions. Breakfasts were well organised and delicious thanks to Mike who was in charge.

I've been to a few events at Lazaat. Always really nice function rooms, clean toilets, plenty of parking and great food! When we have stayed over, the rooms have been comfortable and nicely decorated. Always nice to be invited back to an event at Lazaat!

We attended a party here and stayed the night. The room was clean and the staff were lovely, especially Kevin running the bar. The bed was a standard double and the pillows were a bit rubbish. They wanted to charge £10 for a travel cot so we declined this. Breakfast was standard hot buffet and continental, no pastries or veggie sausages though. Overall stay was fine but won't be returning.

I went to a wedding and I thought the place was perfect. The Pavilion suit is beautiful. The hotel rooms are clean well presented and have good quality furnishings with a very comfortable bed. The hotel has plenty of parking and the hotel is set in a quiet and tranquil location but easy to find!

Staff were friendly , rooms cheep in price but dressed with some quality . Bar drinks are a little expensive for the north of england . Didn't eat from the menue but did try some of their buffet foods and they were tasty . The stars are for price and cleanliness. Great for weddings and events .

Went with the family for Sunday lunch, roast beef or chicken with yorkshire pudding, and lots of deserts, coffee and tea. Really well cooked meal for a reasonable price. Nice big round tables easy to speak to everyone. Staff were attentive and service very good considering there were only two staff to look after a full restaurant. Definitely recommend.👍

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. Firstly, we had to swap rooms. The corridor and the room given to us smelt disgusting and fusty. Also, there was a loud generator next to the room so this made matters worse. The receptionist wasn't too polite when we requested a room change, insinuating nobody has brought up these issues before. It was very unprofessional to say this. There was no shower gel and hand sanitiser available in the new room. There was a loud noise coming from downstairs in the function room until very late hours. We appreciated that there was a warning for potential noise, but we didn't appreciate this meant noise was going to be blurring out like a concert. The breakfast wasn't very good either. The sausages weren't cooked properly, so this put me off having anything else. This wasn't a good stay at all!Update: Management has ignored our complaint since 20.12.21 with no response despite chasing them several times including calls and emails. Please avoid this hotel. They are extremely unprofessional.Most recently, I spoke to a very unprofessional individual on reception on 05.02.22 who demonstrated sarcastic behaviour when I was asking for an update on my complaint. One of the things he said to me was, do you do this all the time complaining about hotels. He also said it's likely that the management has considered my complaint, and has decided to ignore it and not respond. Why do people like this individual think they can speak to customers like this. It's not normal at all. This particular person wanted a confrontation and seemed to enjoy the fact I hadn't received any contact from the management. Again, please avoid this business. They do not deserve to operate with such poor standards. I've never been spoken to like this; or treated with such poor standards from a hotel.

If I was at a function it would be 5 stars. As I wasn't the fact the music went on till 1am was annoying. So it's a bit unfair I only gave 4 stars? Well I may have still given 5 if the staff on the desk did as I am sure they are asked to do and ask guests if everything was ok with their stay. They didn't or maybe if they asked if we were at the wedding and offered a room away from the noise or made apologetic noises. I have eaten here and the food was good. The room was large and warm and very clean. Maybe fixing the double socket back to the wall will be done soon??I would happily stop again and I am sure I will get to award 5 stars soon.

My son had his wedding here two weeks ago. Was a wonderful day, they could not have been happier with the service on their special day. Staff were attentive, friendly and kept them informed on all matters on the day. We stayed overnight, rooms were comfortable and a generous size. The food at the wedding table was very nice, but potion sizes were big! Some of us were just too full to eat everything.

Had a lovely day as a guest at a family wedding. The staff were very polite, professional & accommodating. The food was excellent, good selection of drinks at the bar, which was reasonably priced. Many of us stayed overnight, the rooms were comfortable, warm, modern, nicely furnished with toiletries & tea & coffee facilities provided. Breakfast next morning was very good too. Keep up the good work team Lazaat.
