Mercure Hull Royal Hotel Restaurant in Kingston upon Hull

We had a very pleasant stay here after a wedding locally. It's on the back of a shopping park - a quiet area with a maccies nearby for a sneaky breakfast! Our room was modern and clean; it also had an iron/ironing board, luggage rack, hanging space and tea/coffee facilities. It felt very well supplied - my one gripe being that with the shower gel/shampoo, there wasn't any hand soap! We were only there one night so used the gel, so it wasn't the end of the world!The staff were very attentive and friendly; we didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment on those. There was plenty of parking outside.

The hotel is in a fabulous location stayed in a family room, which was a massive room but a bed for a couple was to small pillow s hard hairs on single bed hairs all over the bathroom in the Bath walls floor very dated bathroom .There was a rip in the curtains, hairs on net curtains and window handles need fixing.door to play room was locked .had to ring down for towels not enough for a family room .we had a meal in hotel that was ok over priced but that's standard for hotels .breakfast was a waiting game had to que and wait for the hot food . and when we returned to are room after breakfast the cleaners was already in cleaning it and this was 10 we hadn't even checked out yet wasn't happy about that as we should of had till 11am .reception staff was friendly and a house keeper on frist day of arrival was very happy to help us she was lovely .

Despite the grandiose look of the place. Major changes and updates needed. Reception was manned by a older gentleman who seemed to not know what he was doing. Room was not as clean as I would expect. Cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling.Was given a disabled room because of my missus, yet we end up with 2 single beds. Oh and the beds. Wow. Perhaps I've been spoilt with other hotels, did not sleep well at all. And will not recommend to anyone

We love this hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are spacious and grounds are perfect for taking your dog for a run. There is also a leisure centre with swimming pool. Good also lovely, whether it’s a bar meal or breakfast

Good points:Nice hotel, rooms are decent sizes. Location is good, with parking and local shops ect hear by. Very quiet location. Food was good quality. Friendly staff.Bad points:Pool and Spa is nice but been twice and hottub/jacuzzi is always out of order.Please be aware there is a constant smell outside of "farm"Overall 4*

Outdated Hotel, twin rooms beds are literally next to each other with no possibility of moving them apart. Gym, it's not even a gym it's just a room with weights for one person at the time. Breakfast - had it twice and on two occasions bland with no taste or flavours to it.

Doesn't look modern from outside but very modern inside, clean environment, lots of free parking spaces. Restaurant inside. I'm not sure of how much a night cost. Not too friendly reception but covid can be an excuse. Also they get the job done. No doubt a good place to lodge for a visit

A nice hotel, although sound traveled between the bedrooms . Good evening menu and nice food. Catered well for a large coach party, food was piping hot. Only gets 3 stars as our coach driver was treated badly by the hotel staff, and also because of the noise from a company Christmas party.

worst hotel I've stayed in. checked in key card didn't work for the room 3 different cards. the member of staff that sorted it was good gave us some drinks tokens! the walls of the room we stayed in were like paper had someone on the phone for an hour, basically felt like I was in the room with her, being ridiculously loud then started spewing up. had tv blaring
