Meze in Kingston upon Hull

We was a married couple looking forward to a lovely meal before a show tonight, unfortunately, we ordered Kleftico and Steak Stronganoff.The vegetables were cold and not fresh on the Klefico and my stroganoff came in a bowl, with one tiny portion of rice, the steak was fatty and we literally had the one course, paid the bill at £37 for two main course and left. We will not be returning, we travelled 45 minutes and was extremely dissapointed, the only nice thing about the restaurant was the lovely lady that works there we spoke to as we was leaving. The restaurant is a good size, but no atmosphere, it needs something adding.

Amazing cuisine! Visited here after a personal recommendation from my son's friends. Mouthwatering food, lovely ambience, excellent service. I chose the chicken pasta and I was impressed with the presentation and flavour. Likewise, the steak and lamb were also fantastic choices and were cooked to perfection. Very popular venue and now I know why! Will certainly be back.

Excellent hot & cold Meze selection. Good size menu, offering popular Turkish dishes. Atmosphere was great so was the Turkish wine "Yakut".

After been recommended by friends, we were looking forward to visiting Meze Bar & Grill. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.While the starters of humus & calamari rings were very good, the main courses were a different however. Having chosen the Adana Kebab, what we were greeted with was a small mound of rice, a mixture of lettuce leaves and two Adana kebabs. With no sauces or condiments, the whole meal was very dry, made worse by the fact that the kebab was over cooked. Definitely not worth the £13.50 asking price. My wife did enjoy her half chicken however but it wasn’t a half chicken as it had two legs (must have been the bottom half)If you are looking for Meze style cooking, Meze Bar isn’t the place to go.

Unbelievable food. Excellent value for money. Never before have I had lamb so succulent. The waiting staff were the friendliest of people.. Thanks so much.

We were away in Hull for the week and fancied something different and what a find this was! Beautiful food, quick service and the waiter was very polite and attentive. My husband had the lamb shank and said it was so nice he felt like it entered his blood stream! I had the Lamb meatballs which were tasty and fresh. Will definitely come back if we are in Hull again and gutted we only found this on the last night, otherwise we would have eaten here every night!

I would love to say something to match the service and the food... but can't find enough words. Absolutely amazing, don't be surprised if you see me here every day! Loved it

Came to Meze on a whim as we were staying close by and it looked good.Absolutely brilliant decision as we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.Great social distancing throughout the restaurant as well which is obviously massively important at this time.As a couple we have eaten various Mediterranean cuisines over the years but only really had the kebab side of Turkish cooking.Really glad that we decided to try it.After arriving and ordering a drink (Turkish beers of course) we were treated to a free lahmacun by the owner, great hospitality!!Then I ordered Turkish Sausage and my wife Lamb's liver for starters, both were really lovely and flavoursome.For mains I ordered Tavuk & Kuzu Shish (yeah kebab, I know, but totally different to the Friday night variety) and my wife Ispanakli Tavuk.Both dishes again were really delicious.If you're in the area I really recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Delicious meal. Wonderful meat platter with fragrant rice and salad. Good social distancing, tables spaced out. VERY friendly staff. Highly recommend. Best Turkish restaurant in Hull I would say. Will come again. Even better: 20% off final bill Monday to Wednesday!

I would honestly have to say that this restaurant is by far easily the best in Hull!Every time we come here we are always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome!The service from all the staff is truly amazing, they genuinely cannot do enough for you!The food here is WOW!! Everything from the cold starters to the mains are fantastic!I mainly get the kebabs, they are always cooked to perfection, I’ve never had an under or over cooked kebab here!!The bead and dips that’s they serve are so fresh, and always have that “just made” taste!To be truthful there really isn’t anything I wouldn’t recommend having!I really can’t wait to go back!
