Pearsons Bar is a great HU5 pub, with a spacious and well maintained interior and a patio looking onto the street. It hasn't got the widest selection of beers, but there's definitely something for everyone. They have a decent pool table and the staff are friendly, especially the landlord, Jimmy, who always makes an effort to make people welcome and seems to be on site 24/7!And last but not least is the fact that Pearsons Bar is the only pub in HU5 that opens past midnight, usually serving until 2am Fri-Sun. The fact that you can enjoy a pint until the early hours, either indoors with music, or outside, makes this place a must for night owls.Keep it up guys👍

Was a mid week visit, so very quiet, only about 6 patrons. No food was being served. The Guinness was spot on tho, so cellar is looked after.

Nice big venue and plenty of choice of drinks. Unfortunately we were unable to eat there as their catering is outsourced and they do not have any Gluten Free options on the menu.

Oh.. this place is awful.. regulars are defensive of anyone coming into 'their' bar, which obviously means they are the only customers. Not a great recipe for a successful business.Dirty glass, frowned at when it was asked to be changed.. not a sign of trying to make the place. It's been a long time since this was a go to venue and it's not hard to see why.

Great pub for away day 14/20 minutes walk to the Hull City ground

Absolutely awful!, was like a school playground, young people running around screaming and shouting ( I really doubt they were 18), totally ignored by the staff. Used to be a great bar, won't be using it again!

To go into this pub spend money in here a friend of mine parked his disabled car in there car park while he went in for a meal he displayed a disabled sticker on his dashboard and received a parking ticket in this pub car park I will never use this place or say anything good about it PEARSONS YOU ARE A DISGRACE.

Used to live on the avenues and regularly used this bar as zoo and then PearsonsFirst time visiting in many a while and certainly won't ever againIts gone down hill massively, spray paint internally on the entrance wall, in desperate need of some tlc. Crowd used to be more upmarket now full of down and outs.On top the car park is now pay and display so no parking for customersDoesn't seem to know what type of pub ot wishes to be

Haven't visited this bar for over 4 or 5 years but decided to call in on our way home from Hull Fair - how disappointing 😑.Although we were welcomed as we went in, the rest of the evening was a sad experience. The pub looked like it needed some tlc, the toilets were messy, one door had no handle or lock on it.The service was poor, the coffee machine wasn't working. All in all a sad experience after having many a good night in there in the past.Wouldn't visit again.

Very friendly staff and customers. Good selection of beers and spirits. Choice of sports viewing on multiple screens. Also got a pool table. Thank you Holly
