Had a great meal today, myself and my husband had a carvery and my son had a kids meal. We had a lovely time and the staff we lovely too. The carvery had a great mix of meat and vegetables. We also had dessert which were amazing. Would highly recommend.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and were very attentive to our needs. The carvery was delicious as usual and was hot and tasty 😋. As a regular visitor to the Red Sails in Hull I share my thoughts with friends and family who also have had occasions to eat in this fine establishment. Thanks for the great experience and will see the team again soon!

The whole team was so welcoming from the moment we walked in the door a really good atmosphere. The chef was outstanding Ethan was polite talkative in which is what you want. I have been to other places where staff seemed disinterested. But not here smiley talkative polite welcoming definitely worth a visit. We would return

If you fancy a carvery, then Red Sails is the place to go.The daytime offer of a small Carvery & desert is £8.50 is very good value. With a choice of beef, pork, turkey, gammon or a vegetarian option, this is a good place to go if you fancy a Sunday lunch during the week.

Our fave place in hull for a Sunday carvery. Always plenty to choose from and really generous portions. The dauphinois potatoes are amazing g! Staff are always lovely and greet you with a smile on their face. Especially the beautiful waitress, Frisian… her smile lights up the room and she goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Already looking forward to our next visit.

We went in recently as a group for a birthday. Staff were brilliant and very helpful and told those having a Carvery when to go get their food so that they would eat at the same time as those who had ordered meals. The manager added a personal touch and brought a lovely piece of cake with a candle. The food was hot and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back

Barely edible carvery. And a scampi and chips was the same. Wasn't too busy and we now know why. Best avoided if you appreciate good food. (Edit - Was on a Thursday evening at 6pm and I considered it quiet, and to add the carvery was dried, the cauliflower overcooked and most of it hadn't been replenished)

I had the Sunday roast from the Carvery and the food was delicious. I am African so most of the food I have in the UK aren't always to my taste but I've dropped by the Carvery twice in one month because of how good the food taste. I have also recommended it to others. The environment was warm, neat and the workers friendly.I had a great time and got value for my money.

I've not visited here for a while as the food/service started to dip due to staffing issues (lockdowns etc). It's a convenient place to visit for me as it's on the route home so tonight we decided to give it another try and I'm so glad we did.I hadn't booked and it was teatime on a Saturday but we were seated quickly. The staff were welcoming and I requested a GF menu, unsure if they'd have one or it might be an allergen tablet 🙄, but I was really surprised to be given an actual GF menu with loads of options! For the first time since I've been diagnosed with Coeliac and eaten out I had a three course meal! Prawn Cocktail to start with a slice of GF bread, Cowboy Burger for main and Chocolate Fudge Cake for dessert.Kids ordered off the kids menu and had chicken nuggets, carrots and chips the other ordering sausages, mash and beans. Parents both had the carvery. All of our food was great, both carveries were plentiful and my dad's only quibble was not enough meat, mums was her gammon was too fatty which it was to be fair.I felt really at ease eating GF here, the staff seemed really knowledgeable and it was really busy tonight, great atmosphere and really clean. There are several highchairs stacked right outside the toilet area, overlapping the ladies entrance, I only mention this as I tripped slightly coming out so I'm not sure if this is a temporary thing but if it's permanent I'd suggest moving them as they take up a lot of room in a small area especially when your trying to maintain some distancing.I've taken a photo of the GF menu as I was really impressed with the selection and the blurb at the top.
