Visited for afternoon tea as a treat for a friend. The selection for cakes was lovely but I was a little disappointed by the sandwiches where there was no options to cater for different peoples tastes.I was also disappointed that you only got one drink included with your afternoon tea ... most places you would expect a refill of your tea and coffee in the price. We paid for a prosecco upgrade and that was nice , we were seated In a nice widow seat (heaters were on which given its end of April they didn't need to be! And one of out group was struggling with the heat) but we had a lovely view of the marina and I would say if weather was good you should ask to take tea outside.Additional drinks were not a bad price given your in a city centre hotel.Currently getting to the hotel is tricky given all the work in Hull but once you can follow the diversion it's not too bad. Ample parking just give your reg at reception which made life easy.

I stayed the 22.04.22 which was a Friday we was staying there as we had a wedding and traveled from 3 hours away. My husband called to make sure we had a room to get ready in which there wasn't when we arrived was told we have a toilet. Then finally got a room to get changed into come back down to go to the wedding was told our bags would be taken to our actual room as we wouldn't be arriving back till after 12.30 at night. This wasn't done. Then go to the room with our luggage in hand and key cards was not working so then had to wait again for someone to sort that out. There was leakage from bathrooms upstairs all over the ceiling. Toilet wouldn't flush properly.Went for breakfast had to be escorted back to room as key cards we had did not work and only a master one for the hotel would work. Then was overcharged for our stay. Not the best experience at all.

Just the loveliest Holiday Inn. We’ve stopped here twice to charge up our electric car. The staff are so friendly and the hotel is really well maintained. Really convenient for a break before heading to the ferry, also easy to stop for a meal and pop into Hull for essentials. Thank you all for being so lovely.
