Saltshouse Tavern in Kingston upon Hull

Popped in today for lunch with my son. Greeted at the bar by a lovely lady called Mo.. Swift and polite service.Ordered a cheese burger and drinks, the food was excellent and even complimented the cook, Sharon, as we were quickly served and the food was lovely.Craig the manager was out and about sorting the change of menus and was polite, introducing himself and engaging in nice conversation.All in all a good experience and would definitely recommend and return 😊👍.

A quality local-pub with sensational staff, enjoyable entertainment and well-priced tasty food. The atmosphere is always friendly; George, Courtney, Keira and Robbie really make the Saltshouse a warm and welcoming place to spend your free time. George's Tuesday quiz is growing week-on-week and he puts so much effort into making it challenging but also fun. The karaoke is the weekly highlight with great participation. The Saltshouse is a local community pub for everyone, and its a real pleasure to visit.

Went in salt house tonight had a great time I had the triple chicken burger and an ice cold pint of San Miguel, washed it down nicely. Served personally by the manager at the table and even took a reservation for me and for mates for the fury fight on Saturday after he convinced us to come to watch the fight with all the drinks offers, this place is gonna be my local

Went to play golf and as I’m new to the area asked one of the lads where to go for lunch and they recommended salt house… they weren’t wrong! I was made to feel very welcome from who I presume to be the manager and Keira who served me at my table with my partner. I had the Mac and Cheese and Bacon loaded chips and my partner had the Lasagne. Both were fantastic! Speedy service and a fantastic range of gins. Will definitely be back next time we go to play golf.

Consistently good food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you’ve not been in a while.

Went there for lunch with friends and too watch the football found the staff very friendly good service quality drinks will definitely be going back.

Visited the saltshouse this lunchtime after visiting family and had a really nice meal with my wife, we had two lovely mixed grills and two fantastic pints of Guinness. Had a great chat to the landlord a fellow Leeds fan as I found out 💛 💙and will definitely be back the next time we are in Hull

I highly recommend this place for a lunchtime meal. The bar staff and chef were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Some of the veggie options were not available so the chef and bar staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great alternative meal. The chef even came out to our table to check we were enjoying our meal. It was well cooked and well presented - perfect pub food. We will definitely return.

Well there are lots of pubs around and decided to pop in for our dinner as 6pmish. Glad we did. It was quiet at first but people were slowly turning up. There was some low level music playing & a game machine in the corner playing a loop. The menu is not massive like other pub chains but thoughtfully laid out with some interesting and different meals. Bottles of wine start at under 10 quid and every day features a meal and drink deal for just under 6 quid. Live music, quiz nights and other themes. The food was fabulous well cooked chicken burgers with pulled chicken and bacon with spicy sauce. Crisp and hot chips. It's was served quickly and by very pleasant staff. Locally this pub served the best meal around and has a varied menu worth trying. There is a gluten free section too.Back again today 16/11/2017 as this pub has been refurbished.What a nice change. Smart, clean stylish looks. Old carpet gone & several pool tables added.Once again fab food. I had the tripple chicken burger with chips and a beer (2 chicken gougons, a fillet and pulled with bacon n cheese!!!) Wife had a chicken chees & bacon melt burger with chips snd a drink. All for £18.58. Nice selection of ales and house wone starts at £8.50 per bottle.Great service, food (hot till the end) & great value.. Ill add my pics to the general lot.Go there. They do theme nights and tonight (thursday) was grill n drink night. This is a big improvement on the original.We will be back again.
