Tandoor Mahal in Kingston upon Hull

Really odd chicken madras. The chicken was separate from the curry and I have no idea what the curry sauce was as it was cold and gloopy, not sure whether it was a curry at all as there was no flavour. Suffered 2 days after, tbh I still don't feel great now. A total disaster and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Not what it used to be like. Tikka masala was pink and sweet. Naan bread soggy. Dopiaza ok but not much sauce. Balti was just doable. Used to be a big fan of tandoor mahalo but seems to be losing its touch.

We have just had a take away from this restaurant, we live in Brough and so have quite a few on our door step but decided to give Tandoor Mahal a try. The food was absolutely amazing, the best Indian take away we've had. So fresh and tasty...delicious! We will be using this restaurant on a regular basis. I can't recommend highly enough!

Highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Hull. Me and my partner travelled to Hull for my birthday as I was visiting the deep (Still a child at heart) for my birthday. Being late on a Friday night we gave them a quick call to see whether they had space for us and of course they fitted us in. Only being down the road from our hotel, we walked in and was greeted immediately placing us at our seats. Gave us plenty of time to read the menu and decide what we wanted, no rushing. After ordering our food it was a quick turn around they got it out to us piping hot and just what we asked for. No long waiting times with being a Friday night. The food was fantastic, both me and partner loved what we had. If you're just passing by still call in, it's great company and great food. Positive experience.

Food always excellent, lovely atmosphere, staff are always very obliging... In my opinion the best Indian Restaurant in Hull, never ever had any cause to complain, keep up the good work guys another beautiful meal this evening..

Do not let the location of this gem put you off . We popped last night , no booking, and was accommodated, no problem. Service was exceptional, enhanced by a very smart, intelligent young waiter with a comprehensive knowledge of the detailed menu. We plumped for the fresh coriander Nan and two amazing king prawn curries, fabulous intricate flavours that totally wowed us , would certainly recommend and will return.

I visited Tandoor Mahal with my wife this evening. This is the first time we have visited in a couple of years. We were enticed by a new takeaway menu that boasted a new dine in four course menu. On arrival there were posters in the windows advertising the new four course menu.We were seated by a member of staff at a table for two and then was asked to move as the table was already reserved for a party of six. We moved without complaint but thought it was strange that there was no reserved signs to help aid the staff. We were given menus that were stickered up as three course and no mention of the advertised four course menu.The three courses we had were really tasty and couldn't fault it. We were not offered a fourth course (dessert) or even a coffee. After about 10 minutes we were not approached by any members of staff so we made our way to the bar so we could settle our bill.

We must have been through the entire menu! My wife loves the garlic delight and my go to is the madras. The food is always fantastic and the service is spot on. We have tried a number of other Indian restaurants in the area but this is the best we have found.

I had food here on new years eve, upon getting to the place, we were gave Poppadoms after around Five Minutes, followed by drinks, but things went downhill quickly, when many people started to enter, we waited for around Thirty Minutes, not one person actually staying in the place were served, but those eating in the takeaway area were served promptly, we left soon after. Very poor customer service, would not eat there again.
