The Lambwath in Kingston upon Hull

It was ok, wrap was very dry. Carvery was not great, beef was so tough you had to spit it out and we wrote it off, gammon was very salty to the point it was off-putting. When we did manage to get served, table staff were nice, albeit a little illusive. We honestly could have left without paying and no one would have noticed for a while! (To be clear, we did pay!)

Not the first time that I have had a bad carvery here. Choice limited because of lack of Turkey. Had the roast beef which was dreadful. Most of it was just chewy gristle and fat. Cauliflower Cheese was cold and largely uncooked. This seems quite normal for this establishment because it always is every time I have visited. The gravy was cold and lumpy. Most of the portion was still left on the plate at the end of the meal as it was with rest of the party that I was in. Glancing across to other tables confirmed this was happening across the restaurant and yet the staff still came to the tables to ask if the meal was ok. This is a dreadful place to eat. I would rank it as the worst carvery that I have ever been presented with.The Lambwath have responded to my review with an untrue reply. They never offered me a full refund at all. That is untruthful and deceitful of them. I ask them to prove this claim. I paid £30 approx for that meal and I didn't receive any refund. I didn't speak to anyone at all whilst there about the disgraceful food that I had been served.

We come here all the time. My two girls absolutely love the food as do we. Every time we are here, we are always greeted by the lovely Ruth! She’s great with the girls and always chats to us and always goes above and beyond for us! She’s a credit to lambwarth!

We went to night to give it a second chance as last week was not up to scratch.tonights carvery was 100% better .hot food being bought out by a chef in a black jacket all the time .no waiting for anything .when we asked why tonight was so much better we were told the manager was back of holiday and working in the kitchen .All I can say is we enjoyed tonight

Nice pub, and lovely carvery and breakfast buffet. I am gluten intolerant, and I'm afraid they don't really cater for that. So I tend to not eat there. It is a nice place to go with friends, to relaxant chat though.

Love it here. Breakfast is the best. Happy and very friendly waitress Nikita, took time to talk to us all, making sure all was happy. No complaints at Lambwath 👍😊

Waited 45 minutes for 2 chicken burgers. Food was undercooked. My wife's order was wrong. Luckily it was something she could eat as we didn't want to wait another 45 minutes. Bar staff and waitresses were lovely. Shame the chefs don't seem to have the same enthusiasm.

If I had read the reviews before booking I would have not bothered wasting mine or my families time going in this place. Haven't been in for a while and will never be going back .Only booked there because it was local for everyone to meat for my son's birthday. Booked our table for 4 oclock because we had two children with us two hours later all we had had was our starters and they even got them wrong .The assistant manager tried everything she could to get our order sorted out but the very rude chef just wasn't interest when asked when our main course would be ready. So do yourself a favour everyone and give this place a big miss and go somewhere else don't waist your time

Excellent waitress nikita lovely happy and pleasant. Lovely food also. Would love to have scrambled eggs on menu as option as don't really like fried eggs. Other than that great all round 😀

Not a good start to my meal out with a friend. Waiting to be served and totally ignored by the bartender. Other people approached the bar and were served first. My friend was actually called a liar. I hope the food is better than the service!
