The Sailmakers Pub and Restaurant in Kingston upon Hull

usually is absolutely fab! last night however my medium steak was very well done :( basically leather :( would've usually have complained and i’m sure they would’ve sorted it but was in a rush! lovely staff and atmosphere though! will be returning as long as my steak isn’t leather next time 🤣

Helpful. We had a seat, but the food was delayed.. So the booking on our table at 2.30pm would then clash when they arrived. They sorted it even though we would move to help. Super nice. Helpfull. Food good too. X yummy.

Visited here on 26th March when we visited family in Hull. Lots of us went in for food and drinks and our kids played in the play area. Can’t thank Emily and Cally enough for the service provided. The food was great and the service so friendly and welcoming, Emily was great fun to deal with and made us so welcome despite it being our first visit. Food prepared by Cally was second to none and all of us loved our meals!Thank you so much guys and we will 100% be visiting again next time we come to Hull!! 👍👍😊

Food is always good for what you pay and it is very well priced, so you can't go wrong! Great choice of food, gluten free and children's menu available too. Drinks a little on the expensive side but expected. The only negative is that they very rarely have what you order in, or that's been the case for me! But no issue regardless. Kye was a great server for us tonight very helpful, polite and welcoming and was always busy!Thanks

Great place. Nice views of the Humber, if you like that kind of thing (I do).Good, quick service. Lots of options on the menu.They had quite a few things missing from the menu which is why it didn't score a 5 for me.

Great pub good food. Large free car park. Lovely view of both the River Humber and the Humber Bridge. The staff were super friendly and the service was fast, The food was cooked perfectly with good portions. Will definitely be returning again to try the food challenges.

We went on Boxing Day with family for the three course festive feast. From the moment of arrival, we were given a warm welcome and seated straight away. Our waitress Emily was very friendly and attentive. All courses were very tasty, well cooked and generous in portion. The service was very efficient and a good time was had by all. Thank you to all the staff ☺️

I visited the Sailmakers recently to meet up with some family. It was steak day and I had a steak with peppercorn sauce. It was cooked perfectly and was really well priced.The children had the kids meals which were really well portioned and the wacky was lovely and clean.Thanks to Sarah at the bar who was lovely, and chef Mark in the kitchen who cooked our steaks. I will be back soon !

I've been here a couple of times before and the meal was nice and the service good. However on this occasion I was disgusted with the cleanliness of the glasses and cutlery. First two glasses served was covered in lipstick. I mean thick lipstick. I noticed immediately and told the barstaff to change them. They then served another, again with lipstick on the rim. I asked if there was something wrong with the dishwasher. She said it's not very good. Very matter of fact as this was the norm. She said she'd bring my drinks over. She did and again the glass was filthy. The food arrived and we reached for the cutlery. Absolutely filthy. We cleaned them ourselves. On a plus, food was OK but we were hesitant if we should eat it. Cleanliness is vital in a hospitality environment. I doubt we'll be back
