Proper English old English pub decor. The place is kept immaculate. I always recommend ppl stay here when visiting Hull as the rooms are beautiful. Great food too and the staff are friendly

Nice pleasant feeling inside great architecture outside, lost a bit inside but still nice and clean, food as well though not advertised outside on an A board etcPity about industrial units so not in keeping with an Victorian pub next door but hey !

Lovely pub to visit. Used it many times to eat and socialise. Worked our way through their menu and nothing has ever disappointed. From a steak on date nights to family Sunday lunches, food is wonderful and the prices are favourable too. The best steak pie around & fresh cooked vegetables. A favourable amount of gins to try out ,served beautifully. Private gatherings for those special times are well catered for. A central accessible place to reach from buses or trains. Thanks

Went for a 65th Birthday. Food was great, really nice buffet 😋. Drinks were good too 🍺🍹🍸

The room was pure luxury and in a perfect location for our trip to the theatre. Tea and coffee making facilities, water and all the toiletries you could possibly need. Free standing barh and the host was a font of knowledge and so welcoming 🙏 Clair and Nick x

Stayed here to go a gig at the Bonus Arena. Very friendly staff, clean room and excellent food before the gig. After the gig came back to friendly service and a bar open til midnight.

Lovely Sunday lunch plenty of choice from the menu available. Food hot staff good nothing to much trouble for them. Book for a Sunday though if you go. Will be back.

Food was excellent even for people with allergy's. Staff was awesome, so nice and welcoming

Lovely pub, fab meal, highly recommended for food and hospitality. Great atmosphere in the pub, looking forward to returning soon. First time i've eaten in here i've always thought of it as just a drinking pub but my brother in-law & sister in-law have eaten here loads so we met up for a meal & boy was i happy with my Homemade Steak Pie lots of vegetables & roast & mashed potatoes everyone had an excellent meal & i will be certainly back, we went for Sunday lunch so some had the Sunday roast which looked fantastic & some had the recommended Homemade Steak & Ale pie all delicious.
