Zen in Kingston upon Hull

Hidden gem food first class service excellent.

We had a take away for the first time tonight. I ordered the Bentos trays of chicken catsu and my husband had the sweet and sour pork. It came beautifully presented everything was perfect. You can tell everything was freshly prepared even the prawn toast, spring roll (best I have ever tasted). Definitely our new go to restaurant and take away Excellent.

My wife and I have been going here for a number of years and its really is fantastic. The staff are so kind and hospitable and the food is, in my opinion, the most authentic Chinese food in the area.Today has been our first time eating out with our baby since lockdown so we were happy to get out and to enjoy some delicious food and see the lovely staff that work there. 10/10

This evening has taught me never to judge a book by its cover.... location and first impressions wise you may question this place but it is spotless, safe, comfortable and the food is AMAZING!! We are on holiday and fancied a ‘eat in’ Chinese, went by the reviews and so so glad we did. Try it, trust it, enjoy it.

Yummy authentic East Asian food, especially the Peking beef! The service was friendly and welcoming, and I loved all the fairy lights!

Beautifull food as always,lovely atmosphere and a walk from home no car a bonus, made Valentines day special with no inflated prices, food and portions to s high standard thankyou Zen.

Had a wonderful meal last evening. Unfortunately very quiet as most people not yet paid for the month. Food was great and as they were so quiet they served an extra main. Will definitely visit again. Decor is great. Going to enjoy doggy bag this earning.

Picked the restaurant just by chance because it was quite close. The outside looked very modern. Inside it was smartly decorated and clean. The service was second to none and the food was really plentiful. It was cooked very well and presented in a pleasing manner. We all really enjoyed ourselves. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! Pulled up to this place and was a bit dubious considering the location. Not the most glamorous of surroundings for a restaurant. The outside of the restaurant is clean and modern looking, and once you're inside everything looks great and well kept. The food is absolutely delicious and tastes really fresh, would probably go as far as to say it's the best Chinese I've ever had! So much flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. Would recommend this place all day long! I have no idea how it hasn't got more reviews on here. The kitchen is all visible so you can see the food being made if you want to. Hope to go back again soon.
