315 Bar & Restaurant in Kirklees

7 of us visited 315 ,. 7 male guests so with loads of potential for future visits with families. 315 is a very smart restaurant so straight away our expectations are quite high. Onto the food, starters and mains ordered and we are shown to our table. Starters arrive with a mixed response, firstly the portion size is miniscule , my black pudding scotch egg was quite dry and to be honest to my surprise very bland. Starters 4/10 onto our mains1 swordfish customer quite happy1 halibut customer quite happy2 duck customers a little disappointed but not enough to complain3 calves liver and no happy customers this was so overcooked and covered in a sickly sauce. Calves liver should not be covered in a sauce . It was very unpleasant. We brought it to the attention of the waitress ,. She did ask if we wanted anything else , we didn't and that was it. We were charged full amount we decided not to have desert or coffees and we aid the bill , without gratuity. Overall 4/10 and potentially many customers lost here.

Me and my wife called today for lunch and from we had we have to say we were not impressed at all. So we both had the 2 course and I had the salad and the sea bass and my wife had the pork and the brownie. The sea bass was ok but there was no wow factor with it, the salad was ok. My wifes main meal was as bland as could be and who serves a yorkshire pudding that is over done and really dry and in places burnt and the brownie was just about acceptable but only just. We have been here 3 times now in total and the 1st time was as mentioned above nothing exciting. The 2nd time a wedding on and I won't even mention what that visit was like as I will be typing all night. So today we was hoping for an improvement sorry to say no improvement at all none. To say the name on the board outside classes its self as high end dining I am sorry to say it certainly is not that at all. The staff are really nice and polite so no issues at all with this but for what this place charges for the food this is not acceptable and no we won't call againThe other thing is as well I can only eat small amounts of food and I have never in the years what have passed had to call somewhere after to get something else to eat never. I left there not even full or remotely close and this says it all to me. The name on the board makes you think that this place must be amazing, but trust me, it is not. There is a pub 5 minutes up the road what's cheaper value for money and the food is fantastic a far better choice.

This has been one of my favourite new discoveries. We came to the the YSP and wanted to stay nearby. The staff was very courteous and professional. Our room was cozy, clean and comfortable. The highlight though was their restaurant. Their menu was imaginative and well curated. Our starter courses at dinner were fresh and well prepared and our main courses were superb. We had their lamb and pork dishes respectively so can’t speak to their fish but from what I saw the neighbouring tables eat looked excellent. 315 is definitely get a repeat visit.

Ah it's paradise and I wish we could live here.Staff were just the most lovely people and faultless.Only thing that was sad was that all the products we wanted to buy from the spa were out of stock so we only purchased a couple of sets of creams.Beds were great, firm enough and nice, clean rooms.Cant wait to come again.Thank you to the lovely and highly professional people who work here making it a smooth pleasure throughout our stay 🙏❤️

High quality dishes with a good portion size too. Great dining ambiance (we visited for lunch) and lovely staff.They do a meal offer Mon to Thur that is worth checking out!Great location, great food 😊👍

We went to the restaurant for a 6 course meal for Valentines day and really enjoyed it. Our waitress Ruth was delightful and very attentive which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The food was very nice, but not amazing. Although we weren't 'wowed', we still really enjoyed everything and would come back again. Side note, Ruth if you're reading this, we really wanted to tip you but had no cash on us and the card machine had no tip option. Next time though!

A nice place to go and eat, comfortable, nice decor and ample parking. I had prawn cocktail starter, which was slightly underwhelming by the fact that I've had better at much cheaper establishments. I didn't think the sauce they dressed the plate with worked with the prawns and their sauce. The steak was lovely, cooked to perfection and very tender in a lovely jus. Dessert was nice too. As with all of these fine dining establishments, the portion sizes are adequate, but not filling. Staff were attentive, but seemed a little fed up. None of them seemed pleased to be at work, or at least that's the impression I got.

A birthday celebratory lunch for my wife Pauline.The lunch was a two for one offer and we both chose the sirloin steak,the presentation and the quality was outstanding the desserts that followed was to same standard.Their was one criticism which was the £8.50 for the glass of mediocre wine,this stopped us from having coffee to finish off what was an excellent lunchRay Franks

Lovely restaurant serving up excellent food of a very high quality. The menu is full of variety and changes seasonally. On my last visit I had the venison which was cooked to perfection, as were all the other dishes we had. A great Huddersfield restaurant.

Hotel was really good, very clean and well kept. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only negative was that there was a party in the function room which was loud, but only until midnight - and the AC was a massive annoyance - it couldnt be turned off so kept humming all night.The food for both dinner and breakfast was beyond expectations. Dinner was exceptional, service, atmosphere and the presentation and taste of the food were all extremely good.The service, from front of house through to the house-keepers were all lovely, super friendly and helpful.
