Extensive selection of beautiful plants and shrubs, bulbs, seeds, tools - everything you need to create a lovely garden. Staff are available to share knowledge and advice, lots of unusual gifts and cards too. Didn't have time for the cafe today ☹️.

I really enjoyed my visit today but it was the help of a young member of staff who made me want to come again. He was working in the outdoor plants area and, while continuing to do his job and trim lupins, he gave me helpful information and encouraged me to come again when he told me l could bring my dog there. Pleasant, willing staff make such a difference to any shopping experience and each of the members of staff l met today were friendly and helpful.

Seems to have changed hands since I last visited. Good variety of plants

I would give it 5 stars but since it's changed to another company they have stopped doing the member card which I used a lot last year when buying my garden things and I also think they might have made the prices more expensive then what they were before but that would be cause of the pandemic going on. They still have an amazing selection of plants and tools for the garden. They also do have a gifts section down stairs which is filled with lovely house products and gift ideas as well as season stuff which is handy if your thinking off getting someone a lovely plant and a little extra to go with it. These are some off the plants as well as pots I have gotten from there and are very happy to have. The staff are helpful and friendly can't say I've ever had a bad experience going to this garden centre as it is lovely just a shame on them changing company.

The cafe has had a makeover! The choice of food is varied, delicious, freshly cooked on the premises and healthy. Someone really knows how to make pastry and also proper chips! In addition the staff themselves are all cheerful, helpful, friendly and prepared to go to any lengths to make sure you are happy.

Not been to the garden centre for a while, but as we were passing we decided to stop in and pick up some plants. The choice was great, loads of variations of fruit trees, which was what we were looking for. The shop was well organised, the cafe looked inviting but we didn't partake this time. Will be back again.

A wonderful garden centre with a wide variety of plants, seeds, bulbs and indoor plants. Plants and tools are on the ground level, easy access. It has a cafe upstairs. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. There is a large parking area. Would highly recommend a visit.

Called in today with my wife, for some compost and a few plants. The compost is outside; the pants through the store. My wife just happened to comment, (in a friendly way - she's a chatty person and was merely trying to open a conversation,) that this arrangement was a bit of a pain - that's all - there are no instructions as to how to actually purchase the compost, without taking it into the shop itself. The female assistant ('Sue W') basically rebuked her, 'explaining' (if that's what it could be described as,) that there was no need to take it into the store because.... adding "That's why..." and gave some half - baked reason. I wasn't listening: the look on her face and the tone of her voice put an end to any chance of civilised interaction from the moment she started speaking. A blunt "Sixteen ninety five," ended it. No "please/ thank you/ goodbye." I said "Sorry to have troubled you," and we left. Really - if this is the best British Garden Centres can do, with regards to hiring retail staff, maybe it's time for a re-think. Her manner and attitude was just plain rude.

Love this place. Therapeutic! They stock quite a good selection of plants. Very helpful staff . I have purchased from this place over the years and each plant is thriving in my garden.

Plenty of parking and a good selection of stock at reasonable prices. The retail house plants were all in lovely condition, which surprisingly isn't the case in all garden centres. Staff were very happy to help with my enquiries and gave a friendly service.
