Black Bull in Kirklees

Great place for meals & drinks.friendly Land Lady & staff. I have been at lunchtime. They serve seniors citizens discount meals at lunchtime. Excellent. Also evening's.lt can be busy later in the evenings.

When for a family meal Took ages to be seated even though we had pre booked Placed our order but it took nearly an hour for it to arrive

Good place for food and beer. There's a beer garden at the back but car parking is less than previous times as they have a big car park which was partly turned into the beer harden

Called for food, had chicken wrap and chips my daughter had beef and ale pie. The food was gorgeous. Lovely friendly pub

Great food. Went on a busy match night and obviously popular with the locals. Good selection of drinks and parking.

Great find... the staff was amazing. I asked for the gluten free menu but then decided I wanted a bunless burger (not on gf menu) but Sarah did all she could to accommodate. She was happy to check the allergens on each item to ensure my meal was gluten free and coeliac safe. Can't fault the service, food or atmosphere:)

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with friends. A lovely steak meal for me & chicken burger meal for my partner. Later we called back as it was still the only place opened & had a good selection of wine & Greene king beer. Thanks guys we will definitely be back soon. Marie & Jason xx

Very warm and welcoming pub with a great selection of larger beer wines spirits and soft drinks. The food is well priced and caters for all tastes. Welcomes away supporters. A big thank you to all the staff from the Middlesbrough fans you made so welcome.

I was the first customer of the day, at 12noon.(I was only in Lindley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, to help with Stewarding the 10K race,)I was diverted by the road closure to enable the runners. What a great, unplanned , diversion it turned out to be.The nearest parking place for the race, seemed to be right outside the Black Bull,.After the last runner crossed the finish line, we packed up and were stood down.I had not intended having a pub lunch, but as I approached my car, the Black Bull called to me.It was advertising meals and live football,What's not to like. I spoke to a member of staff, she told me that the back doors were open.The bar man gave me a friendly greeting.I sat down, and he brought my drink.I looked at the Sunday menu, and chose the tradition turkey dinner, followed by apple and blackberry crumble, with ice cream.It was my pleasure to clear the plates, ..,it was so delicious. The meal was good. The staff were polite, hard working and helpful.The Black Bull smelled fresh and clean as a while. Even the toilets were spotless.I'll be returning, with a friend very soon.
