Catch Seafood Restaurant in Kirklees

We ate at lunchtime, the restaurant was fairly quiet but by no means empty. Table for four, we had two special salmon dishes and fish & chips with curry sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection served by attentive staff.

What a gorgeous meal we had at Catch Holmfirth. Lovely atmosphere but even better food including possibly the best seafood linguine I have ever had ( and I’ve had plenty!). Apparently the kitchen had been let down but the woman who ran it this evening has serious talent! Thoroughly recommend it!

Great service and the food was excellent good choice from both the main menu and the specials. We had the teriyaki prawns and chowder for starters.....really good and the haddock for main course was tremendous, light fluffy thick portion of fish, cooked beautifully with chips and mushy peas....delicious ! Although full I still couldnt resist a dessert.. sticky toffee pudding with a toffee sauce and ice cream . .wonderful. good value for money all round.

Been for dinner tonight as a family of 4 and was excellent from start to finish. The customer service is excellent and the food was amazing. Good portion size and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. All meals thoroughly enjoyed finished off with a hot coffee and a ice cream. Highly recommend was worth every penny.

I have been here twice and can only say don’t bother it all looks very fancy but delivers nothing! Poor Food twice and when I pointed it out they don’t care and beer had to be poured twice due to it not settling just a rubbish experience and much better places in holmfirth to eat and drink! I don’t live in Yorkshire but if I did I wouldn’t entertain here ever again!! 3 acres, woodman inn slightly out from Holmfirth but worth every £ of the cab money. Disappointing is an understatement if you are in holmfirth go to the pickled pheasant much better!

Our good mood was completely destroyed by the heavily tattooed female who looked us up and down, face showing displeasure and eye rolled us we as we walked in. We will not be back! If I could leave NO STARS for the service, I would.

Oh my word! I don't know where to start! From booking pre ordering our lobster treats! Service Food Atmosphere!! 5* Totally ! Thank you for making our first Mothers Day in 2 years together my boys my mum my Grandson and his amazing mummy! The best X

Personally at this point in time, I would have it more appropriate if the staff wore masks .. but they don't.. its a small bar/restaurant.. with a sign that says maintain social distancing.. its like saying don't come here ..Food was great I loved the chicken burger 🍔 menus not clean , very tacky .. glasses , looked dirty .. so so mmm .. ???

I recently made the 50 miles round trip from Manchester to Holmfirth, recommended to me by the Fish & Chips connoisseur himself, Chris Morley!!!!!The Staff were friendly and helpful, and the Fish & Chips were delightful; with a nice crispy texture and slightly sweet taste!One gripe however, would be the lack of a bin by the outside seating area for takeaway customers.There are plenty of benches in the outside seating area, but there is no bin within the vicinity.The closest bin is across the main road - which can be quite difficult and dangerous to cross if cars are parked in the bays outside the establishment.Hope to visit this fine establishment in the not too distant future!

When looking to have a short stay in Holmfirth, one of the restaurants that i liked the look of was the Catch and it didn't disappoint, good drinks selection on arrival, we had booked a table ahead, I'd already looked online at the menu and knew what i was going to have, but so much choice, that's if you're a fish lover, only down side i live to far away for another visit, but maybe one day.
