Amazing fish and chips. The portions were massive, very tasty, crispy batter and not at all greasy. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Next time we're in Dewsbury, we will definitely be back.

This place is the best for fish and chips! Only place I've gone to several times for the same thing, continue to do so but mixing it up a little with a fish cake butty today 😂. Mother Hubbard's also a good place but chip box doesn't give off a smell or have a sticky feeling when you get your hands on the fish! Definitely worth a try for those who haven't visited, you will not be disappointed. Also no they didn't pay me to write this review they just have 1 very happy customer! I'd talk about the customer service but the foods that great even if they wasn't great guys I'd still go there 😏👌24-02-2022 After trying fish n chips from so many local takeaways, by far the best is chip box! After my last review I've been consistent in ordering from chip box! Which has been quite a long time and still loyal to this fisheries! ... the owner even throws me free scallops when I praise the food 😂

Omg our fish and chips were so good. The portion size was massive and really tasty. The staff are so friendly and it was so nice chatting about football and stuff while we waited for our order to be freshly cooked. We will definitely be back when we are down that way again. Came here after a good 2 years as last time I came I almost butted heads with one of the 2 brothers that work here, the one who can speak English shouted at me for using too much Ketchup on MY fish n chips, then charged me extra for it, if it wasn't for my calm nature I would have caused serious damage but never the less went here again as my nephew was insisting, I stayed in the car whilst he ordered, ordered 2 fish n chips with extra salt n vinegar and ketchup and mushy peas, food was soggy and damp, chips were not piping hot even though we live very close, the fish was not crispy at all but instead soggy and like eating a slipper, the mushy peas was not piping hot either. All in all can't wait for this place to close and for something else to take its place !!!

Ate here 5+ years ago and wasn't amazed, but after seeing recent reviews decided to try them again.We went for a large fish and chips, large chips and a couple of curry sauces this afternoon.My word - portion sizes are extremely generous. The fish was the size of my arm - could easily satisfy two adults and a ternager. Large chips could easily be shared between 4/5 kids.Everything tasted amazing, would very much recommend to everyone. There was a very small wait while the fish was cooked but that was 5 mins or less so can't complain. Service was brilliant as well ! 👍🏽👍🏽

Tried here for the 1st time last week. Omg absolutely beautiful. Prices are good and the portion sizes are brilliant. Just about to tuck in to fish cake and chips again.

Fantastic staff. Great food. Super clean inside. Their homemade fishcake is amazing.. Definitely worth a visit
