Dixons Milk Ices in Kirklees

Good ice cream/milk ice, but the app/delivery is atrocious.Unable to block the number that marketing texts are sent from, and twice I’ve had items missing from an order. Admittedly the missing items have been replaced, but it’s worrying that when you’re paying £3 for delivery (yes, you read that right; THREE POUNDS) a small order (4 or 5 items a time) can have items missing with such frequency.I’ll continue to use Dixons, but not their app/delivery service.

My favourite ice cream. Highly recommended. I was served by a lovely member of staff. Can't fault it.

Me and my girlfriend popped down to the Lockwood branch this evening as we were both craving somthing sweet.Made a very simple order as per their advertisement of a bubble waffle. The option was Nutella bubble waffle with marshmallows. We asked for a plain Nutella waffle, would suggest a waffle with just Nutella right? Wrong, what we got was what they were advertising as a option on their menu but with a little added extra of strawberry sauce.. no where on the menu did it say it had strawberry sauce. I did mention to the two girls that stood there with a glazed look over their faces like I was speaking a foreign launague. I mentioned it was misleading advertisement I did not ask for strawberry sauce to be added what I asked for was a plain Nutella waffle. I got no response they both looked at me with blank expressions no words given. I gave up in the seconds of Agony waiting for a response and they just both walked off no apology or explanation from either of the girls. I did also order two milkshakes very watery with no taste other than very sour milk. I will not be returning for a waffle or a milkshake although the one thing they seem to get right is scooping some very nice ice cream into a cup. Well done.

Loved the ice scream very nice and creamy lovely different flavours and I got to try a couple of the flavours not too bad

I've been to the Lockwood branch a couple of times now and I don't think I'll be going back again anytime soon at least. I Was told I'll have to purchase the tub spoons for 5p each if I wanted some even though I'd bought 3× 2 litre ice-cream tubs and 100 frozen ices. Talk about making someone feel unappreciated. The quality has gone downhill in recent years with most favourites being discontinued and most recently the frozen ices have completely changed. They taste and feel awful in comparison to what they used to. All in all, a little appreciation goes a long way and although profit is perhaps most important one shouldn't forgot that it's the quality of the food and services that bring it.

The 2 star rating on this is definitely not for the ice cream. It was amazing as always. But unfortunately the staff let this place down massively. Fairly large queue outside and 3 staff on which was fine. But we queued for 20mins to get served. The young girl serving us was so slow, she definitely looked like she would rather be anywhere than there. And she kept stopping making the ice cream to have conversations with other staff. If we hadn't have queued for as long as we did I would have told her to leave it and walked out. It took her 6 minutes to make 2 medium ice cream tubs! The staff arent very friendly either, no smiles or thankyous.This isn't the first time this has happened either.Love Dixons but the staff are your downfall

The best ice cream EVER!!!! I haven't been for years but remember as a young'un how nice Dixons ice cream was and was a huge treat on the rare occasion the ice cream van would cone around.Having visited last week I was so happy that it hasn't changed, still as tasty as I remember

I LOVE ice cream! However in the previous summer just gone I discovered Dixons and i would travel serious mileage for this. THE best ice cream out there. PERIOD

Absolutely delicious, real dairy icecream. So smooth and luxurious. Highly recommend - especially the original flavour.

So good and so cheap! Dixon’s is a place where my boss showed me one day and explained it’s one of those places of Huddersfield that everyone loves and visits. He wasn’t wrong! The traditional ice cream cones are the best, the portions were plentiful and tasted delicious. I’ve been a few times since. The team are nice and friendly too
