Drakes Fish in Kirklees

Had to wait a few minutes for a fish to be made but it was worth the wait,I got a good portion of fish n chips and enjoyed them!

Always good quality food Best fish shop local Good service and lovely mannered staff. Wouldnt go to any other cish shop by choice

Very disappointed the fish was over cooked the chips were dry and over crispy flat and had clearly been sitting around for a good while

This place is amazing!! Ordered via deliveroo to hotel, boxed nicely, fish/chips/mushrooms all tasted delicious!! Highly recommend 😊 super quick delivery too! Just what you need after long hard day.

Wafer thin fish, served with a pile of scrappy chippy. Served In paper. Ok if your desperate for food.

Very friendly staff, with a great selection of traditional mains and sides. Fish and chips just how they're meant to be. Really hit the spot!

Just got a fishcake butty from here, not something I get often. After a couple of bites i hadn't tasted fish so opened the potato slices to check there was some. To my amazement there was (and this isn't an exaggeration) about half the inner content of a fish finger right at the edge. I politely returned to show them and ask if this was a usual portion to which all 3 members of staff agreed it was. Absolutely shocking behaviour.

The best fish and chips I've ever had always made fresh the customer service is top rated. Work at a care home near by and heard about drake's from there and it always goes down as a treat absolutely love the food. Worth the price best one in Shipley.

Consistently really nice fish and chips. Priced about average for the area. There's some parking round the back, and there are a couple of small tables inside, allowing you to eat in; and there's also a picnic table outside for some al fresco action. There's a few steps up to the door with a bannister, and a bit of a narrow queueing area inside. They take cash and card for payment, and service is friendly and polite.

If I could give zero stars i would. My family and I have been coming here for years and the fish and chips have always been amazing. We collected our take away today and when we got the food home the chips were inedible....crispy, overcooked and rock hard. Won't be ordering from here again.
