Eastern Spice in Kirklees

Very quiet but we did book for opening time and picked up as the night went on, food was good and standard restaurant prices.

We had a takeaway on Saturday 4th June 2022.The order which was given face to face was wrong and on returning was told that apart from the order being wrong they wanted to charge us extra for a portion of rice which we asked for originally. The whole meal was spoilt especially when you have to return on foot when your meal is on the table.The Korma wasn't like any Korma I'd tasted before it was dry and didn't taste like a Korma and the rice was cold. Customer Service was appalling keeping me waiting and arguing about a portion of rice which I originally ordered!. Very dissapointing with the food and attitude of staff when we had an issue.Not a great experience and I'll not be reccomending to anyone. Concentrate on your food and Customer Service. The portions we're half size, normally at any other restaurant you'd receive double the amount, in my eyes the portions are child portions. Really bad experience from Eastern Spice.

Excellent curry's always hot when delivered don't have to wait long

Best place for a curry around here, not too much oil, friendly service, good price, amazing tasting food, the delivery driver I had today was lovely and cheerful. I've been going here years and it's always been amazing its always consistantly great quality food Thank you.

The lamb karahi and balti were really good. The cheese and garlic naans were amazing (1 per person was just right). Bring your own booze which is fine and keeps costs down

It's our 1st time at the Eastern Spice, the service & food was lovely & we will definitely be going again BUT PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS. They only serve soft drinks, I was alright but my husband & son was on water lol.

Really lovely food, not oily at all, well cooked and full of flavour. Naan bread was excellent, as was the aloo gobi and the Vegetable Karahi was outstanding. Good sized portions (my subjective view only) and good service. Bring your own alcohol (there's an off licence 200m away on the same side of the road). Only slight annoyance on the night I visited was the noise from the kitchen/behind the scenes - it sounded like an industrial vacuum cleaner was being used!Would I return? Absolutely, highly recommended.
