Edward’s Fish and Chip Kitchen in Kirklees

Arrived at 7.20on a Saturday night to be told sorry we aren't cooking anything as we are closing soon. I mean seriously if you can afford to turn away business at 7. 20 on a Saturday night then your business model is doomed to fail. I won't even bother to return, if a small business can turn away custom then there's no hope.

I went here yesterday and after throwing it in the bin I have been sick all night , the place is in need of a good clean , the food was disgusting , I have reported this shop to food standards Agency I only wish I had saved some food to be sent away to be tested , rest assured I will be back very soon to do just that

Used to be better it has slipped a little in recent times unfortunately, still a half decent chippy never the less.

Terrible. Chips looked like they’ve been sitting there all day. Sausage was under cooked and curry sauce was flavourless. STAY AWAY if you don’t want warm ups !!

No justice for this asked for a large fish and chips and a fish and chips to get told they didn't have large so ordered 2 fish and chips and get this aparently gettingntold I ordered 2 small fish and chips

Just like to say we are regular customers at your fish shop and to be fair your fish and chips are usually very good but after I have just been in to collect our phone order which your staff person on the phone was very rude and put the phone down before we had finished our order then came to collect our order which maybe the same person had the same rude attitude, so like I said we won't be coming again which is such a shame really after one individual has spoilt it for you.

Nice fish and chips and decent size cakes. Fish are cooked fresh on entry which is good. They don't sit for ages under heat lamps.I have a regular discussion with the person behind the counter about whether it's a teacake or a breadcake. It's a breadcake 😁.

Worst fish and chips i have ever tasted ! the chips were undercooked ,hardly any fish in the fish cake ,the piece of potato inside the fish cake was very hard and undercooked. The staff are very rude and abrupt ,wont be using this shop again

Was passing on my way home from work and saw the clean attractive shop front. I treated myself to a fish and chips meal with side and drink £7. The fish was cooked fresh and was perfect with light batter not greasy at all. The chips were great too and a large pot of curry was a nice addition. Best fish and chips I’ve had for years.
