The food was really nice they do a fabulous Irish curry sauce very tasty. The staff are lovely and you can sit inside.

VIMTO So glad to have the most traditional 🐠 fish and chips 🍟 when stopped in #Betley for an hour today. A traditional restaurant and takeaway, traditional cooking and the portions. The ladies who cooked and served it where a match to the place so nice friendly ang generous with the portions. The finishing was not expected as well the fish and chips wrapped in newspapers the old traditional way. But they have the nowadays fish and chips papers under the newspaper to keep it safe with traditional. When we sat in one of the squares in #Betley never thought that we could finish it but we did and with reading news as we ate. Great place not to miss when you there.

I bloody love a good chippy. Cooked the way they should be in ‘beef dripping’ stumbled across Howies recently and I’m delighted I did. It’s what I would call an absolutely traditional authentic chippy. Outstanding fish with a crispy coating. Absolutely outstanding and I’ll be back again.

Want pass early and seen people sat outside eating fish and chips and it looked well nice so turned car round and want and got burger and chips and a sausage sandwich definitely found a nice place and worth coming from Morley definitely will be back coming back X

Bobbed in for a scollop butty, never been here before and was a bit peckish. It was delicious. A few days later we went for tea for fish and chips. They were lovely. Chips to perfection and batter nice and crisp. They weren't greasy either. Will be back.

Consistently excellent, nice crispy gold batter. Tried many fish and chip shops over the years, this place comes top of the list, blows competition out of the water. Make no wonder it has been owned by the same family for decades, they certainly know how to make proper traditional fish and chips, good stuff
