Hare and Hounds in Kirklees

Lovely pub and food.My partner had an unexpected day off work, and I decided to take him out for lunch. We booked a table online and arrived early to have a pre-meal drink and enjoy the views from the beer garden.We then went for our meal, which was lovely. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.I really enjoyed my visit.

Stopped for lunch with my son and sat outside, food was really good and service was quick and friendly the view from the outside tables is really nice. Toilets were nice and clean and prices were above average for a pub, but was well worth the stop off.

My partner and I visited here for lunch on Monday. Our meal was really nice - one of the best I have had in a long time. It is a really nice pub in a lovely setting. The staff were really friendly and attentive without being too much. The pub has a really nice atmosphere. We also had a 50% voucher off our main meal which was good. We will definitely visit again for lunch.

Absolutely blown away by the Hare and Hounds today. Travelled over for my sister-in-laws 50th, the staff were so lovely and accommodating, they couldn't seem to do enough for us, they were super patient and friendly too. The food was spectacular, the Rainbow salad was absolutely stunning (as were the views) 7 of us, 3 course meal and not a single grumble from anyone about anything. Highly recommend! Thank you so much for having us! Well worth the 45 minute drive for us!

Enjoyed a tasty chicken pie followed by this fantastic dessert in very comfortable surroundings. Glad to have this as our local.

Great pub, excellent service with a magnificent view of the hills sitting in the garden. Very clean toilets and wonderful location.

Mothering Sunday meal for 6 plus dog!We all enjoyed splendid roasts. (4 beef, 1pork, 1 turkey) All cooked to perfection and in plentiful amounts. Charlie dog opted for the chicken from his menu!Everything was delicious and we had a most enjoyable time.The staff are very helpful and friendly.We love coming here and always have a good meal in lovely surroundings served by really nice staff. It was a first time visit for our daughter and her family and dog. They are very impressed. The Hare and Hounds states that it is dog friendly and it really is. Our canine friends are well catered for and treated like royalty!Great venue, great food, great staff and great value for money.

Absolutely beautiful food and atmosphere. Holly, our waitress, was very polite and the service was outstanding. Will definitely go back.

We've been there twice in a week. Meal is fresh, delicious, and enjoyed. I don't like food waste. Just nice potion for a person. Staff are friendly. Cozy, comfortable and warm inside with a nice stunning view outside (should have a try in summer).Dogs are welcome and able to treat.Car parking is large enough.Highly recommended to treat yourself.

First time visit for Sunday lunch, very nice clean warm pub with very friendly service. The server was happy to help and provide more gravy with no issues. Lunch was very nice.Desert was the only low point, the Creme Brulee was more like an egg custard which was a shame but didn't detract from the very nice overall experience.. will be back and choose a different desert.
