Harvey's Bar/Kitchen in Kirklees

First visit and was very impressed! Great food, fantastic cocktails and friendly helpful staff, will definitely be going back!!

Often call in here late on Monday afternoons for a few beers. The staff are always happy, smiling and attentive. I haven't eaten here myself, but the food I see being served looks first class. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely lovely food and exceptional service. They made a real fuss of the children, made us feel really welcome and the food was phenomenal! Highly recommended! Special thanks to Jack for making the visit truly special.

Great atmosphere. Waited 45 minutes for our burger order to arrive. The chips were piping hot but the burgers were only lukewarm. Mentioned it to the waiter and he said he could warm them for us but we declined after the long wait we didn't want to wait again. Cutlery and glasses were spotlessly clean. Service staff very polite. Soap had ran out in the ladies toilet.

The best Sunday lunch I've had. Plentiful and tasty. Beautifully presented. The chefs don't get enough praise. This is all about them. Excellent food.The service was also very good.

Wow! Firstly couldn't get over how busy it was in the bar area downstairs but that's always a good sign. We were dining upstairs and quickly shown to our table and offered to order a drink straight away. I love the cocktails here as they always refresh the menu regularly but still keeping the favourites. Our server Kiasa was great. She was friendly and attentive and able to help our friend who hadn't been to Harvey's before. We had a couple of hanging kebabs and tapas and all the food came in good time and just perfect! It was just a lovely night to catch-up with friends and enjoy what Harvey's had to offer. Considering how busy it was they were on top form.

Modern vibe in an old building.Had Sunday lunch which was very good.What let the place down was the really poor service. After a long wait, had to wave to a member of staff to take our order. Then an exceedingly long wait for our meal. Not the worst thing in the world, but once again had to ask if there was a problem.No complaints over the lunch it was fine, however, no one came to ask if all was ok. Then once finished had ask three times for the bill & a card machine to pay.Lots of small things, which combine to make for a poor dining experience. Sadly was unable to leave a tip for the reasons outlined above.Four stars for the meal, sadly one star for the service.

We just a wonderful meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I'm looking forward to another visit!

Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, and attentive friendly service! I Had the hanging kebab and it was delicious!!!! My partner had the burger and loved it. Topped off with a delicious birthday brownie at the end with a big sparkler. Special mention to Jack who made our dining experience great!

Very well organised restaurant, staff very polite and friendly, menu is very adequate, i had the hanging prawn and chorizo kebab, very tasty, wife had a lovely burger enough choice of drinks
