Love it. Large pub on Huddersfield Railway Station. Great selection of beers and wines. Very busy at weekends.

Great bar. Good grub!

Pleasant pub, friendly staff, good service. An impressive list of ales on offer. A little disappointing that the only food on the menu was pies: I last visited a Head of Steam pub some time pre-pandemic, and enjoyed a good and varied menu. That said, the pies were tasty.

Nice traditional pub, with a selection of railway memorabilia type decor.Good selection of beers.Friendly service.Exceedingly convenient when traveling by train.Generally fairly quiet most afternoons, can get very busy on Saturdays especially if there's a football game with Town. The rooms at the back are usually quieter. There's four rooms altogether, though only service at the front two.The only downside of the place, is it can be a little expensive.

Just by the station. Great range of ales and welcoming staff. If you're trying to decide between here and the King's head, this place is a bit more cosy. The lower ceilings make it a little less echoey.Best solution : have one in each 😂

Great bar, right next to train station. It can get very busy so might need to stand, good choice of drinks available.

I loved it here. Went in after Huddersfield vs Barnsley football match. Full of excited football fans talking and people in flat caps and name badges enjoying real ale. I tried a low alcohol grapefruit beer that I could've drunk 10 of. After 2 years of global pandemic this felt the closest to normal in a long time.

Brilliant real ale pub beside Huddersfield railway station. They do a great range of pies to go with your pint. The staff are very pleasant.

Excellent choice of beer and a nice friendly , if not a little bit eery, atmosphere. There was a lovely warm fire and a great place to hide away waiting for the train or indeed worth the stop off just for a pint.

Another great place to enjoy a nice cold pint, especially handy between train and bus connections. Due to COVID they are operating a reduced menu but it is pies by Pieminister and they are also very tasty. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will also help you find the right drink to suit your taste.
