Went to Hinchliffe’s today with my husband for brunch and the food and service was outstanding! Absolutely amazing full English cooked breakfast and vegetarian breakfast options, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back and having looked over the evening menu can’t wait to plan our next visit! The farm shop had a great range of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a brilliant butchers counter and bakery section. Stunning flowers and plants that would make lovely gifts (or just a treat for yourself!)Going to make Hinchliffe’s our regular grocery shop, so pleased to have found it!

Very nice produce - lovely bread, cheese and the take away sandwiches were superb. The restaurant was similarly pleasing - lovely food and quite reasonable (but not cheap) it must be said. Worth a visit, definitely.

Very nice place for a quick bite, coffee and lovely farm products. A little on the dear side, but I think it's worth the cost for such quality. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean an well managed premises. Didn't have time to try the food. But the cakes and coffee are excellent.

Excellent meal at the Rusty Bull tonight. Great menu, quality food and excellent service. Also great soundtrack! First visit for dinner, thoroughly enjoyed.

So disappointed with both the Rusty Bull & Farm Shop produce. Decided to try the new curry offering instead of a takeaway. It cost £5 per average size portion plus £2.50 for a tub of mint yogurt sauce. Both curries were chicken & all the meat was thigh not breast. Both options were so mediocre & the meat awful. The mint sauce was like milk.Onto the Rusty Bull. Ordered a “rare roast beef” sandwich. It came on sliced bread which had obviously been left uncovered so part of the bread was stale. The beef was not rare, cut too thick & was so chewy. This very basic sandwich cost £6.95. I took the beef home for my dogs. I very rarely go to this farm shop but my mum hadn’t been before so thought I’d give it a chance, what a mistake, but at least I know to stick with the farm shop I’ve used for years & never had any complaints about quality & value both from the shop & cafe. I feel Hinchliffe’s rides on its historical reputation which sadly has not kept up with the new look shop & cafe.

In my memory, starting from something similar to a shed (sadly destroyed by fire) to a tent to the glorious building it is today. Once upon a time a casual front of house, it is now an upmarket establishment combined with a restaurant and pub. Fantastic views and plenty of woodland to walk around in the area make it a great place to stop. The farm has taken a bit of a backseat in comparison to the new building though. You can actually feed the chickens here... sometimes, if the chickens are out

Not a good experience today. I ordered fish and chips costing ÂŁ14. It was obvious the meal had been under some kind of heat source for a while to heat up. The fish was dry, the slice of lemon was charred and the mushy peas tasted as they had been scrapped of from a burnt saucepan. I asked for the peas to be replaced, when I got the peas back it was obvious that they were over heated in the microwave. Overall this is a nice place to visit the staff were friendly and helpful shame about my meal maybe I was just unlucky today.

Went there for our Christmas do this year, the staff were warm and friendly, decor was tasteful and the food was filling and delicious. There was also ample car parking! The route there was a little hair raising for someone not used to country roads but it was well worth the visit. I'd definitely make the journey again

Stopped at the restaurant for lunch. We had not booked but they accommodated us with a table for 3.I had the fish and seafood dish in a lobster bisque and it was excellent and very filling. My eldest daughter had the prawn and crayfish sandwich and she was also very pleased. My youngest daughter had the burger but was a little disappointed mainly because of the pretzel bread. On balance I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will certainly visit again to sample other items on the menu. After eating we visited the farm shop and bought a number of items from their wide range. Looking forward to having one of their pork pies later this evening.

Visited the Rusty Bull restaurant with the family. Great food, but they were very busy and despite booking, our table was not ready on arrival. No where to wait in the restaurant....we were more or less told to go away.....so had 15 mins in the farm shop whilst they were ready for us. Food arrived quickly once ordered, but no one came to see if we wanted a dessert.
