Marstons Chicken Shop in Kirklees

Very Route customer service 😡😡I bought chicken for £38 and when I took home it’s not cooked properly. When I put in the mouth I can feel the fresh chicken small. I take it back they said . Chicken good and cannot do anything. Up and down took 25 min to travel.On the way back I bought chicken in kfc it’s very nice 😊

Amazing chicken, honestly we will never go to KFC again. So succulent, lots of it and so flavoursome. The queue was big but that wasn't a problem as a staff member was going down the line to take orders and giving a realistic time scale. At the time it was 10 mins but we got our order sooner than that.Thank you for our first taste of Marstons chicken, we WILL be back!

Sort your parking out! Very busy establishment as food popular. Not impressed by poker face staff who served us though- could do with customer service course. Food was delicious

Spot on the majority of the time.Best in huddersfield by a country mile.I like to spruce mine up with buffalo sauce and blue cheese drizzle at home and it takes them to the next level.

Not bad, although to be honest I think this place is overrated! Not the cheapest, Not the best and once you've bought your food your choices are to either 1) Eat in your car and get mucky looks from other people wanting to park up, or 2) Park up on a nearby street and eat in your car... occasionally getting strange looks from passers by! 😂

The chicken wrap was lovely, portion size was good . It gets very busy so we pre-ordered and we were given a time to collect so the food was waiting ready when we got there . Highly recommend pre ordering! The queues get quite big and the car parking isn't the biggest but overall good service and nice chicken! The gravy is lovely too

We have been coming here to Marstons for years. It was a little wooden hut then and takes us 45 mins to get here from Deepcar Sheffield. Best chickenever and cooked to perfection. Went today, Sunday, and always packed but still never waiting more than 5 minutes. Always have breast and 2 large chicken with wings 20 in each and gave our daughter some today. She also said the best wings she has ever tasted. The staff are really friendly. Credit to your business.

Order online, tell your order details to the waiting staff, get your chicken!. Gravy is loaded with real pepper, excellent dip for the fine chips. I cannot fault the food, really nice chicken. At really busy times they only take phone and online orders.

My review covers two points.One is Marstons policy and service towards walk-in customers and the second point is food quality.It is Marstons policy to turn walk-in customers away if the shop has received too many online orders. This is the opposite to other food businesses who will turn off their online ordering temporarily to be able to service walk-in customers.We stood in the line for ten minutes outside in the rain to give our food order to their outside customer staff, only to be turned away because we had not ordered online.There is no clear indication of this policy on their Facebook page or their website.Second part of my review is the quality of the chips. These are par chilled chips and did not travel well. We drove five minutes from the shop to eat our food in the lay-by toward the m62 and found the chips to be hard, as though they had been cooked a long time prior to serving. The quality of actual chips in the portion was about half the portion, the rest were bitty parts of chips, as per the photo.
