Good service & attentive staff, fish n chips were nice but as with everything nowadays they have become a once in a while luxury due to the high cost.

Its very good, the chips are a bit chunky and stodgy but that's personal preference, some people like proper chunky chips. The fish is nice though, can't fault them for that. If I could have given 4.5 I would. The only one that beats you guys is the miners arms chippy. You're still top class

Eaten here a few times of late consistently tasty good portion sizes great crispy batter good chips always plenty to eat so much so that a small chip portion is my choice here...any criticism only that I always leave wondering why the portions of fish are rounder than they are long !

Haven't had fish and chips from there for a long time! But the quality is still just as good. Keep up the good work.

Mixed bag, the restaurant is very dated but the fish and the mushy peas taste great! But at over £12 for fish and chips, the fish is tiny, same size as the kids portion. The fizzy drinks were flat too. Unfortunately will not be returning and sticking to Gravely's

We booked for my mother in law's birthday... I was quite disappointed with the fish... I have never seen a square fish? Especially covered in so much batter.Tea was just passable.Service was good I can't complain about the girl who served us...

Lovely fish and chips. Light and crispy batter. Had the Senior 2 course, extremely good value for money. Spotlessly clean and very covid safe. Plenty parking spaces and disabled access.

Had takeout as we found the restaurant prices to be a bit too much for our pocket after Christmas. Sat in the car and ate them. Absolutely gorgeous. Both the fish and chips were perfect.

The place was clean and quiet there's our first clue. The waitress was very lovely, polite and smart ( maskless) if that impacts your choices). We ordered and the food was quick to arrive it was priced slightly more than other restaurants we frequent, although the two other fish restaurants serve toddler's free. My expectations were higher for there meal. All our fishes were overcooked and so very greasy. The kids meal was mainly batter, and really thick and dark, the chips were chips but the peas yuck! Imagine being transported to the 1970s when we didn't really appreciate the peas needed two minutes in water to be sweet and delicious. These yellow green garden peas looked to have been a nostalgia trip. My daughter would not believe they were peas as there was no green to be seen. I'm only sorry I didn't have my phone to share with you the incredible hue of yellow. The only positive was a walk down memory lane. Our fish was moist for the majority but it just wasn't all that and the batter was dirty in parts and the fish was overcooked around the sides, our curry sauce came with a thick skin on top which I removed, underneath it was a nicely spiced side once you've broken through. There are many great fish restaurants in the area that have been serving Fish and Chips as long as I can remember and they've sustained standards unlike here. It was a shame to visit somewhere that once was so great become so very average at best.I only hope we visited on an "off day" and others don't have the disappointing experience we did.

I would highly recommend this restaurant, both for eat in or takeaway. They honestly are the best fish and chips in West Yorkshire. You can't get any better than these. Nice and hot too even if you take away.
