Never been before. Well worth the trip. The food was outstanding. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they received. There was plenty to eat. Sadly the service let it down. It is a large pub. Admittedly the place was rammed with families and you can accept there will be a shortfall in standards. However either they hadn't got enough staff or they weren't organised sufficiently. There was a delay in taking orders and between courses. It did allow family time together though I think it was more a byproduct rather than deliberateOne thing I would definitely go again but avoid the obvious holiday times. A nice Sunday lunch would be recommend or a Friday

Was there today for the Mother day 3 course meal £24.99 with my mother/sister/nephew arrived 220pm for 230pm booking was ask to wait out side they ask if would like a drink, we ask how long for the table she said it was just get cleaned 5 minutes or so we said we would wait to we sat at the table 30 minutes later we had to go in ask if are table was ready we sat down they ask us what drinks we would like after the drinks arrived, we had to ask someone else if we could order are food to other tables we're just finishing there food off, has we finished are starters the 2 other tables with new customer on them we're just getting there starters after they finished there starters both tables had received there mains on both tables, at one point we were asked what desserts we would like, then I had to ask why we haven't received are main course, and was told it was just getting cooked, the mains came with some vegetables missing on 2 mains, dessert came with my ice cream practically melted waitress brought some fresh ice cream out with out ask for it, ask for are bill notice a over charged on a drink mentioned to the waitress and about the service she went away then the owner/manager came to speak to us, she first off asked who she needs to speak to and ask what was the issues, after me already explaining to the waitress I thought it was clearly already explained, after explaining again she commented and said the reason why are mains where later then the two other tables because are one started scallops and prawns take 15 minutes to cook, to my knowledge it takes about 5 minutes poor excuse she seemed to come across if the food was not delayed and kept saying thank for your feedback, I just ask to pay the bill so we could leave after paying the bill once again she said thank for your feedback I am not quite sure how to take that I think a apology would have been more appropriate, the food was not bad but I would say the service was poor for the money.

Came on Saturday for our second visit. Booked using the app, easy and quick. On arrival we were seated quickly and although the room was big it felt intimate and cosy. We had three courses and they were all delicious! Michael (our waiter) was fantastic, attentive without hovering. For two people the bill was under £70 Drinks included. Looking forward to the next visit!

Excellent service for out group of 30 people's. So the food was served on time, piping hot, we were waited upon by an excellent team member who ensured we were all topped up.Highly recommended for individuals, small groups and large groups.

Got a takeaway on deliveroo, now prices are the same, but the effort gone into the food is not. I've had many nice meals In this pub but today i ordered takeaway and everything is stone cold the beef is slivers of fat, cauliflower cheese which we got extra isn't even cooker through so rock hard and other extras which we paid for not even delivered, I'm very disappointed with all of it, if I had received this in the restaurant I would have sent it straight back. So now wasted £40 odd on 2 meals n we're having toast instead. No happy, have requested a refund.

I went to the Nags Head and the starter, mains and puddings were great. I was so impressed I asked to met the chefs. That day a young man called Callum was responsible for my starter. Harlie had cooked my main and a woman called Kerry had made my pudding. Compliments to the chefs and keep the hard work up!!

Went in for food and a few drinks. All staff were lovely and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. I got the hunters chicken schnitzel cooked by mark and it was immaculate! Would recommend to anyone after a top grub!
