Sea Urchin Fish Restaurant in Kirklees

Absolutely appalling. I wouldn't feed it to my cat soggy fish and very very greasy tea gone up and u get less my partner sadly burned himself with the tea pot as it was broken the bathroom had rust all over it honestly the last time I waste my money

Been in today can tell everything has changed. Tea has changed. And the haddock is really extra greasy/oily. Overcooked. Definitely won't be coming back. This was our favourite place to go now it isn't.

New ownership now. Gone from been one of the best in the area to the worst. Will never return.

Under new management. Very disappointing fish and chips served cold. Fish too soggy basked in oil. Never going there again. Don't even deserve one star imo.

Gross, wafer thin funny tasting fish, I remember when this place was heaving on a Saturday, now its only a matter of time before it's gone for good.

Awful, awful, awful. Can tell it has changed hands.Very very greasy and the fish was 3 very small very thin pieces binded together with batter to look like 1 normal sized piece of fish!!Cheap ingredients poorly cooked.

This used to be a great takeaway chippy ( I haven't tried the restaurant), but recently prices have gone through the roof, portions have shrunk, and quality is just not the same. Howies in Batley is much better.

Not very good today. Fishcake was only warm with too much batter, very hard and chewy as if it has been stood awile. Fish was dry and chewy as if it has been in the freezer for too long. Not very nice, will try other fish restaurants in future.

They do cater for halal fish and chips if asked.Ours was a bit overcooked but not too bad.A bit pricey.Theres an eating in area as well.Smelled a bit funny .If you willing to overlook that then I suppose it was ok without being spectacular.

Visited this place Saturday 2nd January 11:45 am. Very friendly staff but dont know if it was the time we went but ordered fish and chips twice one with peas, tea bread and butter.I was surprised how soon it arrived. I was very dissatisfied as the fish was very thin and the chips were only warm so they left a greasy film on the roof of my mouth. The portion seemed a lot smaller than the last time we visited so for £8.95 we will not be going in the very near future. I have heard it is under new management but the staff are the same, polite and very obliging. Shame about the food.
