Spice Garden in Kirklees

I have been charged for the order, when ordering on their website when apparently they were closed (it was not mentioned anywhere). 13 days later still no refund, even though i have received an email Confirmation that very same day about the refund being processed. I have tried to contact the provider in the email adress but it only allows for a chat with a bot

Take your own booze, eat in no frills, simple & basic. Food good & VFM

Really poor service the guy on the phone doesn't have a clue what he is doing gets orders wrong blames other people doesn't no how to apologise for his mistakes waste of moneyWould definitely avoidplenty more better places to order from

Worst curry ever. Just tasted of spice tomato puree and loads of grease. The lamb was inedible, very chewy. Nann bread was rubbery. Definitely not impressed 😡

Had a really nice curry from there last night. They are always friendly, my food was a little later to collect than advised on the collection message but good things come to those who wait and they did call me when it was ready.

We've just started using this restaurant for takeaways and so far we've had lovely hot and tasty food and will definitely try the restaurant when it reopens.

First time ever ordering from here. My partner ordered the chicken tikka in nan and chips , The nan was light and tasty , only downfall he said was there could of been alittle more meat. Overall though it was tasty and on time ...so we will order from there again .

ordered for delivery. got home to find 4 chapattis missing, called and they were already aware, they asked if we wanted them sending out so said yes, meanwhile we ate the rest of our food 50 mins later still no chapattis, called again to see where the chapattis were got told on the phone driving was just setting off, had already eaten all the dishes, told the guy this and he said to mentioned it next time we ordered but there won't be a next time as the service has put us off, no apology or anything! still didn't receive any chapattis

I have enjoyed getting take aways from Spice Garden since I moved to the area two years ago and have usually found them to be very helpful.Unfortunately that has not been my experience this evening. I used their app to order my food and estimated delivery was 9pm having ordered at 8:15. At 9:20 I rang to check and they said it was on its way. At 9:50 still no food so I rang and asked to cancel the order. The order still wasnt on its way. Understand it's difficult when you are busy but some honesty would have been nice.The man on the phone was rude and when I asked how to cancel an order if I had already paid on the app, he said he didn't know. I asked if he could find out for me and he hung up the phone. I then rang back and asked if he could help. I then gave up trying.Not the level of customer service you would expect from a regular customer. Disappointing.

Food was a four out of five.However, the service left a lot to be desired for. From the moment I walked in, to when I left.On arrival, there was only one other table occupied, a table of four. The server was sat behind the desk at the back of the restaurant, more interested in playing on his phone.When I asked for a table, told to take a seat - waving to the takeaway area. Asked where, he huffily got up and showed me a table.I knew it was offer night, but wasn't sure what the offer was. Deliberated over the menu (which had the offer on the front), and when I was eventually asked if I was ready to order, I said I was and asked about the Wednesday night offer. Angrily told what it consisted of - only to be then told it was a different menu.Once given the correct menu, the server stood over me whilst I had to rechoose what I wanted.Food arrived quickly, and tasted good, full of flavour (thankfully not too spicy, as whilst it is a BYOB - which I didn't), I wasn't offered a single (soft) drink at all. (When I mentioned this, apparently I should of asked - never been to a restaurant yet and not been at least offered a drink!)I was then brought the wrong bill, when I queried this, no actual apology, just "it's this one", producing a bill from under the counter.I think I actually had more interaction and words exchanged with the friendly guy carrying out the deliveries than the guy in the restaurant).
