Spinks Nest in Kirklees

My lasagne came out burnt to a crisp, and the side salad was lettuce and tomato only...My husbands burger was nice but came out with half the fillings missing...My daughters chicken nuggets looked like they had been re heated about 20 times, and her chips were cold....We got a part refund, but we wont be returning anytime soon

Ex chef there manager and assistant manager are happy to cook chicken from frozen stock rotation was more than a mess just be careful eating here! Reason I left the food handler would go to jail aka me

Always enjoy going to the Spinks Nest and meeting our friends for a good evening out. Staff always friendly. Can have a good chat and laugh with them.

Travelled from Lincolnshire to inter my mum’s ashes in family grave in Edgerton Cemetery. Booked the Spinks Nest by phone a week ago for lunch afterwards. Helpful lady said there was no problem if a few more people turned up.When we turned up today they could not find our booking and the kitchen was closed!!!Absolutely no apology from staff. Absolutely disgusting.My party went to Table/Table Aspley, where we given a private area and lovely food.Can’t give less than one star, but this place is not well managed by any stretch of the imagination.Please see pointless reply from owner below -I specifically asked if I should phone again nearer the time with precise numbers, but was told that would not be necessary. The food etc may be very good as other reviewers have noted. But the management just make out it was my fault - so thank you for your concern.

This is a good local pub, just out of the town centre. They have a new menu and all of the food and drinks are reasonably priced and good quality.

Mixed grill steak was all fat no meat this time. Normally fantastic ❤️ BUT NOT THIS TIME. My fault I should of told them straight away. Staff are fantastic. Behind the bar and in the kitchen.

Great food cosy atmosphere and friendly service. Big improvement last time we came food was pretty bad. New owners are doing a great job

Went to celebrate my mums birthday. Never been before and was surprised, the food was beautiful I had chicken fillet burger which was lovely. Others had steak, all day breakfast, sausage and mash and beef burger. Everyone really enjoyed it and we will be going back again soon. Staff were welcoming and friendly

First time that we have been back since the reopening of the pub. We went on bank holiday Monday. All our food was cooked lovely. My steak was nice and cooked exactly as I asked for it, as I'm fussy about my steak. The beer was nice. The service of all the staff was excellent. Very attentive to the customer. Would definitely return

The mix grill was amazing and Messy Mexican Chicken equally superb. Both arrived on sizzling skillet - perfectly cooked and superb value too. Good service from staff. Very homely place
